If you've been Bass fishin' for over 30 years, you should have seen these around some time, may even still have a few like me.

Some of these where given to me, some past down through a couple of generations

Can you name them??

Top is Headon river runt Strawbery finish
next is a true temper speed shad
third is a headon punkinseed looks like a 730 sinker? 2 inches?
last is a headon river runt 350? in bar perch  3 inches?

I think they are correct

Wow, I love the "industrial" look of the third one with the rivets and flanges where the hooks attach.

I use to use the Heddon River runts and the Speed Shads.Heddon also made a smaller river runt called a Midget Digit..

DaveW,

You know your antique baits, all correct!

It amazes me at the time they took in the old days to paint these baits.  I have never cleaned them (scared I will ruin the finish) but the pictures do not do them justice.  They are truly works of art from a lost era of hand painting.

Good Job Dave,

Hi Lee Thanks
a I do a lot of lure collecting, Been doing it fo 20 years now  I just love the history of the old lures.  I have headon, Many creek chub, Teeny torpedo's, Tiny crazy crawlers Have many colors, To current lures Bomber Model A, and largemouth bass pattern with 145 different brands and styles from old to the new swimbaits. you will never see more than 80 bucks for any 1 of those. if you have a certain color in new shape you could get 500 even more if you have the right people wanting it. back in the 1930-40 you could have special colors painted. western auto was famous for that.

I don't have the boxes  :'( These lures where passed down to me.  Sure wish I did.  I have been told they are worth alittle, have never looked into it. I probably will now, not to sell, just so MY son will know what they are worth when I get done with them.

I have them framed and they are in my study.  Alot of people comment on them, due to they are really in great shape to have been used for a few years before they where put away.

Thanks for the info guys
