I live in New Jersey, but recently for work, I'll be traveling down to Delaware. I went down last week, & noticed some ponds along route 1. Are any of these ponds worth trying ?

Thanks,
Mike

What ponds were you referring to? There are state ponds and there are stormwater management ponds that hold fish too. Most of the stormwater ponds dried up this past summer but not all...what areas were you looking at?

I was heading south on route 1 going towards Wyoming. I saw ponds on the north & south side of route 1..

Thanks,

Mike, those are stormwater management ponds or habitat enhancements constructed by the state to replace land lost during construction of route 1. i have not fished them but i know people that have. Like i said most have dried up this past summer. if you were talking about the two ponds at the Route 8/division Street on ramp at Route 1, they are very shallow and dried up. legend has it herons are transporting fish eggs from pond to pond. they stick to the legs and wash off in the next pond. i would think any of those ponds with any kind of deeper water still have fish!
