something that alot of people don't think about is taking an old cell phone and putting it on your boat.

all phones made in the last 5-7 years have to be able to dial 911 even with out a service plan on them....once a week take it off the boat and charge it.

this way if something happens to your phone (as it so often does)  you will have an emergency phone to use....

That is an outstanding tip! I just got rid of all the old cell phones that I had laying around the house... I should have kept one of them. I am sure that I will have another one soon enough since I seem to go through them quite often

The Wife gives them to Church. They give them to  battered Women.They can only call certain numbers.Not for sure how it works
