writing my first resume any tips?

i would like to put together a resume i am a consistently in the top 5 in tournaments but i have just never sat down and tried to put together a resume and i don't know were to begin

  I would look at some of the resumes already on here and put one together with your information.  Where you went to school and other information about your self.   List any extra information you can.

I'll agree with Tater here - spend some time reading the other resume's here.  Read them all - pretend you are the owner of a company looking to sponsor a few anglers.  What do you like and what do you not like about the resume's you read?  Take notes - gather your personal information - and start writing.  The biggest tip I think I can offer is don't think you will accomplish this in one sitting - it takes a lot of time.  Work on it a while - put it away and come back to it again and again.

Focus on the marketing side.

Use proper grammar.

Categorize everything neatly.

Include a picture.

Don't type in all caps.
