Good afternoon folks.  Surviving my first day of retirement...or leave leading up to retirement.  So far...I LKE IT.

Weather is fixing to get rough here...Tornado Warnings in Birmingham, the track of the storms will have them over us at around 4pm.

Bad weather...

  I hope they fall apart going up the mountian.  I wanted to go down to the river and make some pictures of the Tennessee River/Lake Guntersville when there is a strong Southern wind(in this case 25-30 mph with gusts up to 45.)  With the flow of the river, this outta make for some big swells.  South flow with the current, meeting a strong southern wind like that spells double trouble for any one on that lake.

Well...so far so good.  I have been practicing for this for a long time...pretty darn good at it.  We are a little chilly here, but the big issue is the wind.  It has been blowing hard all day.   I hope it calms a bit before Wednesday...its a fishing day.

Windy, rainy all day here.  I sat in my car and stared longingly at the water until it let up enough for me to jump out and make a few casts.  I got about 10 casts in with a Leverage Spinnerbait, and low and behold I caught a nice little largemouth.  It had picked up to downpour status so I threw my stuff in the car and bailed.

Fun though.

Well weatherbugger lied, it still says 69 here, and to be honest, Im COLD. brrr
And NOOOO  I dont want to move to the frozen tundra with snow, Im cold enough here.. Guess I lost all my yankee blood.
