To Looking_for_bass:         Hi Allen,
My name is Bob Sisson and I live in North Idaho. Coeur D'Alene is indeed a beautiful lake. The main attraction currently is Northern Pike. Bass are in the pre-spawn mode. I presume you will stay in town and launch from Higgins Point. Wolf Lodge Bay is a nice place for Largemouth and when you are in Wolf Lodge bay if you look approximately South you will see a large rocky wall that holds some really nice Smallmouth. I don't know what size craft you will be using but the wave action can sometimes get pretty nasty. Nothing a boat that is 17 feet or better should have problems with though. Common sense of course should prevail. I don't mean to preach or be a smart butt I just don't know you. On the West side of the lake is Cougar Bay. The new state record Northern Pike was just caught there. It weighed in at 39 lbs. 13 ounces. I hope this gives you some idea of the lake. Should you have any questions that I can answer feel free to email me and I will do my best to answer them. Remember the best fish is one that we can catch and brag about again tomorrow.
