I am interested in building a resume first as a non-boater, as up until now I have just fished a local tourney series, and getting some small sponsorships, etc.  I am starting by fishing 4 tourneys in the BFL, and like 8 in my local tourney(Hidden Valley Lake, IN; property owners).  Should I wait until the conclusion of this years endeavors until I look for sponsorship?

MotherNature

I wouldn't... you have a potential to put your sponsor's product in front of many people during the events that you are GOING to fish no matter how well you fish. They will see the opportunity and if that type of advertising is something that they are interested in it might be a good chance for you to secure them as a sponsor.

Who should I go to for sponsorship?

MotherNature

That is where you are going to have to do your homework. None of us can tell you that, you have to look at where you will be fishing, who it is that you will be reaching and what companies might benefit from that exposure.

That's cool, I have some ideas already.

Burglure,

Make a list of every product you use in your daily life and especially fishing, and those are the products you need to go after. Do this for at least one month, you'll be shocked how many you get. And when your ready for that resume give me a shout @ brad@bassanglersnetwork.com

Good luck

Whatever you do......................there's certainly no reason to wait.  Business owners are constantly on the look out for advertising, marketing and promtiong venues.
