If you plan to take your rods on a commercial airline you should know that if they get damaged they will NOT pay for it. I picked up my rod case after the last flight (delayed 3 hrs) and the end cap fell off ( plano adjustable, ripped out four rivets bent tube ) . My favorite Loomis IM6 was snapped at the handle & 2 spinning rods snapped as well, I almost cried. Filed a claim, got home 3 am. Called next day to follow up, had to bring rods back to show the " Claims specialist " and she said they will pay for the case but not the rods. She showed me the fine print and advised me to call AMEX and good thing I purchased tickets with them. They will only give $ 250 but its better than the *+^#@! airline. AMEX also offers a plan to cover more ($ 1,000 ) at $ 9.50 per ticket, but you need to call and activate. I selling my plano & putting my home made tube back in service..... ( 3" pvc )    KB

Wow, what airline is that.  I had a friend that's driver got busted and he was reimbursed from the airline.  Might be because he had a lot of miles with that airline, that probably helps...  Glad AMEX is helping some.

Just take them...  or one at a time back to BassPro and they will replace them..  They did it for me with a broken Stradic.
