Got back from Texas fishing Monday night.  Tuesday morning went to Bone Creek.  Between 8:00 and 11:30 we caught about 20 or so bass on jig n pig, traps, swimming senko, and spinner baits.  Nothing over 4 lbs. in first cove by the dam.  Then the front moved in  >:(  Oh well, had fun for a while, anyway.

Last fall, when I was on one of my many trips to Fork, I had the pleasure of talking to Jimmy Everett while he was waiting for some clients to finish breakfast, about swimming senkos.  I started out fishing them texas rigged with a 3/8 bullet, but fishing them like a plastic worm with good success.  This spring I have been swimming them, t-rigged, with 1/8 to 3/8 bullet weight over grass and weightless on top of grass, moss, pads, etc.  As Jimmy told me, there is really no wrong way to fish it, just let the fish tell you the way they want it presented.  My best colors have been watermelon red and blue fleck.  I usually, but not always, dip the last 1/2 to 3/4 inch of the tail in chartruse spike-it.
