1) 2.5# on a LC CB100 crank bait
2) 2.5# on a Mann's Babby 1-
3) 3# on a SPRO Natural Red Bronzeye  JR.
4) 1# on a Mann's Baby 1 minus

Well, I have to update my 5 fish stringer, as I've recently caught a few big'uns.

1) 5# on a Stanley Bull Ribbit (watermelon/red/pearl
2) 4# on a Spro Bronzeye Jr. frog (natural red)
3) 2.5# on a LC CB 100 crankbait (mad craw)
4) 2.5# on a Mann's Baby 1- (red craw)
5) 3# on a Spro Bronzeye Jr. (natural red)

Total 17 lbs.  I feel pretty fortunate that I've gotten to fish a little more now that the move is over, and we are into lacrosse playoffs.  Thankfully, I only have three more games over the next 10 days.  Now, I do start my new job tomorrow, so that will keep me off the water a little, but I hope to drag the boat to wok and go out afterwards.

I fished the 2007 BC Open last month on Shawnigan Lake near Victoria on Vancouver Island (British Columbia, Canada) and my partner and I weighed in a 5-fish limit of 27 lbs, 4 oz.

1 = 6 lb 7 oz
2 = 5 lb 15 oz
3 = 5 lb 5 oz
4 = 5 lb 0 oz
5 = 4 lb 9 oz

Matt and I accepting our trophies and cash.

Me and my 6 lb 7 oz smallie.

It was a blast.

Look at that smallie!!!

:o  :shocking  :o  :shocking:

Way to go BC, that is probably the darkest colored smallie I've ever seen.

Man I call BS!!! I hate you guys down deep in Dixie. You guys get the prime pickins down there. I caught a couple fartmouth bass on the couch last night but my son tells me those dont count. Here are my Potomac River fish:
3/5 LMB
3/10 LMB
2/10 SMB
1/15 SMB
1/11 LMB

Hopefully I can cull and I wont be so jealouse ::)

Yeah, hard to catch up when the bass don't get big enough in your state. Looks like you might have to fly down for a trip. Of course I keep waiting for someone from Cali to come make the rest of us look silly. I haven't culled a fish in almost two months but I have 3 tourneys at my favorite lake in the next two weeks. I haven't been fishing it at all to give my fish a break before the tournaments start so maybe I can get a cull before the heat really sets in.

Warpath,

That smallie is nothing when it comes to dark smallies on the Island.  Shawnigan Lake has 15' of visibility so it's pretty clear.  I fish another lake on the Island that usually has less than a foot visibility and the smallies come out almost black.  Here's a real dark one.

JayPea2006, all I have to say is 'what's up with those puny 6-7 pound fish anyway?'   :roll2:

Seriously nice stringer...but then again, it is late in the year and it's already almost half way over... ~shade  :razz:

By this time of year I usually have a couple over 10, had I known about this post sooner I would have worked harder  ;)

BIG PAPA

Due to Club tourney's on other lakes I have spent very little time on Caddo lake this year as compared to the past so my big fish total is way down from normal. However I have caught 6 over 7 lbs. so I will just call my total 35lbs.

Please don't start over for 2008 because this may be my only chance to really be a winner  ~c~.

know it's not the pigs some of you all down south see...but for up here, I'm pretty proud of these fish...very seldom do we get to see them at or over 22"...thinking this is a sack that would be expected to be 25 pounds or better...
