round head jigs tipped with 2" grubs worked great on the deep ledges near islands in late September for walleye and giant perch, large spinner baits worked through the deep pads caught a bunch of pike in the 10-13 pound range.

Loggy Bayou off the Red River  South of Shreveport, Louisiana...This little bayou drains Lake Bistaneu (sp) into the Red River. I like it in early summer usually while pitching a worm to the banks with brush and logs...Also you have to throw a jig to the same places.....Dave
