Indian Creek, located in Woodworth Louisiana, and my two favorite times for this lake is the early spring during the spawn and it's another great night fishing lake in the summer.

dave the dope man

as we make our northward progression we find ourselves on Lake Bistaneu (sp). My favorite time would have to be mid to late spring. This is Fluke season in shallow water. Also you can't leave out the tube and jig in the trees..Some do well on a spinnerbait also....It is large enough to get lost on yet has all kinds of different structure/cover types........Is this good Laurie/Mike?.........Dave

Lake Cumberland, Kentucky, great spring lake if you like fishing spinnerbaits it offers some great largemouths

Crockery Lake, Conklin Michigan....

Late in the day mid to late summer on tube baits...that is what I got the 6lber in the photo gallery out of!!

Fishaholic

Wolf Lake, Indiana

Located in the Northwest corner of the state, half of the lake is in Indiana and half in Illinois.

This is a trophy bass and musky lake, the state record tiger musky was caught on this lake, and bass over 10 pounds are regularly caught every year. May is the best month to try for a pig with a number 13 perch finish floating rapala slowly twitched along the tops of the reed beds.

Also, this is the lake where I caught my personal best bluegill, a whoppin 15.5 inch, 2pounds, 15 ounces...not the state record, but if you like to fly fish for slab gills check out this lake in May.

Skipper (ripnlips)

Lake of the Ozarks in early october.....Black buzzbaits around the rock banks in between boat docks. Then throw a black/blue jig in the middle of docks.....not uncommon to catch 50 fish a day...

FisherMOM

Turtle Pond, Byron, NY....

sweet corn for carp in the spring,
and Weightless Shad colored Texas Rigged Senkos for Bass in the summer

Even if you've been fishing for 3 hours
and haven't gotten anything except
poison ivy and a sunburn,
you're still better off than the worm.

Crystal Lake, Scottville Michigan

Great lake in the early summer in 6 ft with spinnerbaits and jerk baits. Just off the weedbeds....look out for muskies!!

casey3535

Woods Creek Lake, Kentucky, great during hot part of summer, lots of grass and lily pads, spinnerbait heaven

Jared LeBlue

Rodemacher, ( cleco) located near Flatwoods Louisiana. This is not one of my favorites but it is a power plant lake and can produce some good fish in the winter time.

Gun Lake, Wayland Michigan

Good Summer time lake, especially mornings with tubes/yamamotos for small mouth bass. Especially any thing in a light color!

FisherMOM

Black Creek in Churchville NY...

smallmouth on black 2 or 4 oz. panther martins in the early summer

getthenet

Norton Res. Ma. spring right afer ice out.....Many islands to fish around.

Fishaholic

Crooked Creek, between Valparaiso and Wanata in Northern Indiana

The state stocks this creek with brown trout and smallmouth bass on a yearly basis.

June is the best month to fish the creek, make sure your vehicle is completely off the highway, put on a pair of waders and cast small spinners.

casey3535

Dale Hollow Lake, Kentucky-Tennesse, great smallmouth fishing, during winter and summer

FisherMOM

Trestle Pond, Byron NY
1/8 oz. chartruese spinnerbait in the fall.

Gull Lake, Wayland Michigan

Really a clear bottom lake (see bottom at 20ft plus) good in late summer/early fall with crank baits and jerk baits. Have been know to get a few on a mad mikes crawdad

Skipper (ripnlips)

Offutt AFB base lake in March. Right after ice out, use large minnows or small bluegill for some great walleye action......careful not to catch to many cause you could be filleting for a long time, hahahahahahahahaha

dave the dope man

Over a little to the east now into Claiborne Parish we find Lake Claiborne. A strange little lake for this area. It has a deep clear area south and a shallow winding creek type lake at the upper end. I grew up on this lake and I really have to say that summer to early fall is great. Gotta gotta gotta throw the Buzzbait. A C-rig works also but I love the Buzzer....Dave

Upper Crooked Late, Wayland Michigan

Topwater all day long in the summer, weed beds come up to about 1ft under the water over the entire lake...might I suggest a Rebel Pop R!

casey3535

Barren River Lake, Kentucky, good jig fishing during early spring

Jared LeBlue

Miller's lake, located just North of Mamou louisiana. In the early spring this lake can produce numbers and size, especially on buzzbaits and spinner baits. It's not a very big lake and the launch has much to be desired but it is a good place to fish.

Fishaholic

The Little Blue River in Southern Indiana

Excellent for native rainbow trout and smallmouth bass.

Late Summer after the water levels have dropped a bit, wade the river and cast small spinners and mini-cranks...flyroddin is always good here too, fish floating terrestrials near the rocks and snags.
