Nows the time to get everything ready on the boat for the upcoming season. In the past I've had issues with corrosion on my battery terminals and connections, but take some vaseline and coat the connections, and you'll never have the problem again.  ;)

I coat all my battery connections and electric connections with liquid tape it makes a water tight seal and can be cut off with a razor knife and it will not rub off or wash off with water.  It comes in various colors too so if you want you can do + terminals with red and - terminals with black.

Vasoline is the ticket.  I use it on the car as well.  I was surpised that the heat under the hood didn't make it melt and drip away.

Keep in mind that any petroleum produst that you coat on your terminals will actually seal in any moisture that is already present it also is a potential fire hazard the best stuff to use is a non conductive sealer that will breath and let moisture out

well if your battery is corroded and you need a quick fix take you some Dr pepper and pour on it and it will take it right off you don't even have to scrub. i didn't believe it until i saw it myself.

Most any auto parts store, just ask for it or you could try Wal-Mart found it in there before.  Best place IMO would be to hit up Auto Zone or PepBoy's

I give each terminal a quick spray of WD-40.  Never have any corrosion and no mess either.

I just cleaned and sprayed terminals on the deep cycle battery, so good-bye corrosion.
