Been having a problem with the dryer talking FOREVER.  Were talking 2 hours or more per load.

Pulled dryer out and took air compressor hose and shoved it down the dryer hose as far as I could.  Also Looked in the lint trap holder and it had a bunch  in it too.  Took a coat Hanger and got out what I could and run compressor hose down it too.  Blew it all to hose then out the back.  started dryer and let it clean itself out the rest of the way.

DONT DESPAIR when your dryer acts up.  Dont spend arm leg and hand to get it "fixed" or a heating element replaced.  A lot of the time following the above forementioned tips to clean it out will save you money for repairs and also elec to keep drying and redrying.  Now we can once again do a load of towel or jeans within the washer time plus maybe a few minutes.

if ya like this tip add me to the tip contest.

Kal mine is by my outside spigot so when ever i use it i always stick my finger in it and clean it out.  Also had air compressor turned up to 150 psi  shoulda blown it out.  got within 12 inches of end.  if price is right i come do basssimms too remember i get  milage from granbury tx and back

The exhaust vent ont the outside of mine freezes up constenly. Have not figured a way to sto this problem as of yet. Best fix has been to simply unhook hose from wall and put a pair if nylons over the end. Clothes get dry, however house becomes very humid. Any thoughts?? :-\

you got the flapper vent or the one that angles downward at a 45 degree angle????  the 45 is better i think in cold, I never had a problem with freezing

Good tip, always check kinks in out going hoses too, years later stuff gets trapped and could start a fire. Thanks ho shi!

I'm having a bad problem with mine to. It takes up to two hours to dry a load of jeans. My electric bill would come down some if I could get it cleaned out...

AJ

md pull the vent hose off the back and outta the wall.  Make it as short as possible (usually 12 in or so) and make sure is clean out.  If ya know someone with a compressor have them blow out the dryer.  If the top gets real hot that is a heater element I have been told.  Lint buildup is a big cause of a lot of house fires btw.
