I've been promoted to the front of the boat. HeHeHe. I GOT APPROVED. I got a 2007 Xpress 17ft with a 90hp Yamaha. I acutally get to go fishin when I want now. Problem is, I got to learn how to drive the darn thing. I'm use to sitting sideways with my arm behind me driving my little 9.9. Anyways, I'm ready to join that over 40 club now. I pick the boat up in the morning.

Beagle you are going to love that boat.  My father in-law has one with a 90 Merc on it and it will do in the 40's easy.  Just becareful on the turns, they do slide a bit.  Anyway they are a great fishing machine with a good live well for your future tournaments.  A quick bit of advise, get a recirculator installed from the dealership.  You will lose much less fish with that and ice jugs.

Thanks everyone. I got a lot to learn "Todd" is gonna teach me how to run the darn thing Saturday at Caddo. BTW, It doesn't come with this recirculator thingy? Heck it even came with batteries.

Elwood

A recirculator is part of the livewell ariation system.  It basically just pumps water from the livewell back in to the livewell and oxygenates the water.  It works much better than any other system.  I know that you are very excited about getting the boat but if you plan on getting into some tournaments then it will be almost a necessity to keep that big limit alive.  The only reason that I brought this up was because I have wasted a lot of money on livewell oxygination systems that just don't work that well and finally put in a recirculator.  I have not killed but 2-3 fish in the past two years.  Good luck and caongrates again.

NICE color... nice ride.  So you will be at cyrpess Sunday? ;)

As far as a recir.  its usually a 28.00 valve from flo-rite.  That depends on who made the livewell.  Recirc is handy if you are in dirty water or have a long haul with fish.  if you leave it on auto it should be good.

Also a good set up is the "Pro Air System" that is what I have and even when it was 90 some degrees I never lost a fish.

Nice rig beagle!!! the guys are right, u need to get a recirculating air system, i have one on my rig and it makes a world of difference, it helps keep the fish alive and healthy. I hope ur ready for Caddo Sat. Congrates on the new boat.

Elwood

Russ I have a good Pro Air pump you can have if you want it.  I may have two, I'll have to check.  I did not like the system myself and have had the best luck with a recirculater.  Let me know if you want the pumps and when ever I fish another Maintainers I'll bring them to you.  I'm hoping that I can make the Cross Lake tour.

Sure, sounds good, I'll take them for spares. When I want to replace the water I just open my drain valve, let about half the water out and fill it back up. Only takes about 2 or 3 minutes and just keep the air on.

HaHaHa, I just brought the rig home and showed it to my girlfriend. Someone mentioned that I was acting like I had just got another child. Well that made me think. I'm just as excited. Matter of fact, they cost almost exactly the same. Both have to be fed and taken care of. Hell yea I'm happy, I ain't got to change the diapers on this one and it'll go fishing whenever I want without b%#ching. Just my thoughts on the subject. HaHaHa.
