Megastrike or Hawg Sauce?

Ok, I have heard alot about Hawg Sauce being the best "scent" out there. Personally I have only used Mega Strike and Powerbait "scents". In your experience what "scent" seems to preform better?

I know I have put Megastrike on lures and it still be on there at the end of the day...

Mega Strike is the only way for me know, used to use others, some spray in the can, others were pump but time after time they spilled, broke open or the can plugged up or the pump broke off. Mega Strike is way to easy, stays on the bait much better IMO and a tube last me forever. I've never tried the Hog Sauce so it wouldn't be fair to make any comperisions with it or others however Mega Strike has been hands down the best I've used to date and hasn't given me any reason to want to try anything new.

I use Megastrike now. I tried it once and used it ever since. I like the fact that you can put a small dab on and it last most of the day. It also is reasonable priced. I used to use BANG spray scent. That was messy, especially if it was windy.

Ever since I started using megastrike, I have not switched. The sprays are nasty, you always seem to get some on your clothing, and there is nothing worse than spilling a bottle of it in your boat.

I have found some of the sprays will harden some plastics over time too. If you use it and then keep the plastic for the next time out, it can harden some.

I will only use mega strike also. I just have more confidence in it than all the others i've tried. Just easy to use also.

CB's Hawg Sauce is what i always use. It also doesnt wash off and really works. I credit it for winning me a few tournaments.

Not to high jack this post , but whatz the difference in Hawg sauce and Carolina lunker sauce? As to the post I have never used either.

CB's Hawg Sauce is made in Olivia NC and is sold in Gel form or spray. They also have a oil base and water base. I use the gel base. Once it is on it, it wont come off. Great stuff.

I'm right there with Fogy. I've settled in with Megastrike for all the same reasons. As far as scents go, anything is better than nothing. You have to cover up any human relating scent or you can be in trouble.

i have used both. i used mega strike for a long time and then tried the hawg sauce. i went back to the mega strike and wont switch again. doug

I am gonna go out on a limb here and say that Caroline Lunker Sauce is the best attractant out there...It has the best meathod of applying sauce to the bait...you don't have to touch it, just touch the tip of the bottle tot he bait, and oyu are good to go. I din't like the megastrike because I had o rub the jelly on the bait...

I don't touch the Megastrike either, I just get a little at the tip of the tube and spread it around on the lure.

I have a sunscreen I use that has a sponge on top. Same premise, just squeeze some to the top and apply. Being a snuffaloppagus, I don't like to get stuff on my fingers...

This might be really stupid, but you guys have me worried about scents scaring fish away. Since I smoke, I actually rub a tiny bit of Megastrike in my hands before I re-rig plastics. Hey, I need all the help I can get.

It also keeps them silky smooth!

I have used baits with MegaStrike in them and I have used Hawgsauce

I like both so I probaly will use both ....
I havent used MegaStrike as a topical thou only the biats that were injected
with it ....

I do know if you like the smell of Garlic , your gonna love Hawgsauce

for those that do wanna read more about either product just do a search
for MegaStrike or cbshawgsauce .... it cant hurt to learn more as the old
saying goes ....

well I guess it depends on the purpose for the scent....I use it to cover up human odors....so it really doesn't matter to me what scent to use...I probably use Smelly Jelly in the shad scent the most and occasionally I will use the crawfish during the spring.....

I don't think a bass goes around sniffing lures...a scent might make them hold on to it longer or if a human scent or strange scent is detected spit it out as fast as he sucked it in.......

Neil....my friend was fishing with me for crappie in Jan. and he was smoking like a freight train I caught 10 fish and he had not got a bite...I gave him some Smelly Jelly and told him to use it on his hands and then change his tube and get another one just like he had on and he started to catching crappie.....that scent thing is important...if you pump gas or wash your hands with soap or get oil on your hand...and some foods that you eat...deodorant that you use and the list goes on...will keep you from getting a bite.....

I have fished with guys (one has fished in the Basmaster Classic) that used Megastrike and out caught them in their boat on the back....no scent takes the place of good technique and presentation......you use the scent on the bait and I will put it on my hands and rely on presentation and at the end of the day.... lets check the live wells and see who caught the most

I use BANG. Mostly the garlic scent. It has been good to me so far but it is kinda messy. Think I might try some mega strike, seems like a lot of people have good things about it

Only thing messy bout megastrike is you just got to keep it out of extreme heat as it will get runny as it gets hot. Just keep it in the shade and it will be fine.

I like megastrike because it is not messy. The best stuff I have ever used was Kick-n-Bass. That crap is strong. You can dip your worm in gas and spray this stuff on it and you would be hard press to smell any gas.

The only reason I stopped using it is because it is a b*%*h to get off of your boat. Not to mention it would linger on you for about two or three showers before the smell finally went away. As for covering up human odor and staying on your bait there is nothing better than KNB but it's just too messy. I've been using megastike for about two years now and I have no complaints.
