Thanks Papa....... I'm already dying to go back tomorrow morning ... Looks like some big fish will be caught this week ... Congrats on your 7.9 yesterday. ~c~ ~c~ ~c~
Yeah I am really hoping to get at least a morning on Caddo this weekend I really believe there will be several over 10 caught with the full moon this weekend. but with 10 hour days during the week and Easter this weekend it ain't looking good. :'(

Congrats on your big bass chris!  ~c~ It looks like things are finally turning on!

Chris

Mitch ,thanks.... I dont think you need the lucky rod. Anybody that can catch 11 pounds and win a tourney on Bistineau can win a tourney ANYWHERE. ;)....Hope you and especially your boys latch on to a HAWG.

BassAddict, Thanks ....With the full moon and the water temps (59-65 yesterday)- surely this week is the week to catch the big uns .

Gabby

I am headed out to GB in the morning with my brother & sister.  Will I see any of my UB padnahs out there?

Gabby , I went out there again this afternoon and it is easy to see why that is your favorite lake.... Beautiful sunset and a we saw a bald eagle this evening... The fishing is OUTSTANDING too..... Looks like its going to be packed at the park this weekend. There were 4 or 5 trailers and RVs waiting to get signed in when I left..

BassBUFF

Kingfish and I went yesterday from 0700-1430. Water temps were in the 60's everywhere. Lost track of the exact number of fish but I think it was 15 or so. Best 5 would've weighed 13.5-14. Lots of unders, only 3 in the slot (2 if you measure like Papa says :roll2:), and 3 overs. Had a GREAT day!

Congrats on the hawg Chris!

Chris

BassBuff , Thank you.. Waiting for the pictures now , which Im sure will not do that big beauty any justice. We took the pics on a disposable camera....I would love to see a couple her size or bigger caught in the TCTC tourney...................
From the looks of the prefishing excursions being posted, it will take  15 plus pounds to win .

Fished Grand today with my 2 boys from 0630-1230. What a great trip it was! Avery my 5 year old caught his first bass from a boat  ~c~. Caught my first 3 c-rig bass today and boated 5 total. 2 slots,2 unders,1 dink. Caught 3 jack fish this morning and missed a few more. Thats a nice lake and I think we will have a ball at the UBCS.

Mitch

Fished Grand Bayou today with Fogy and had a great day.  We put 17 bass in the boat and a couple of jack fish.  Mostly slot fish though.  Did manage 2 overs.  Fish came on spinnerbaits and carolina rigs....and one on a UGLY bait Fogy was throwing.  lo

Saw Dave the Dopey Man and Trouble as we were leaving...they were just launching.  Also saw Mitchell and his boys this morning.  Speaking of which...way to go Avery.

Lots of boats out there today.

Fished Grand today from about 7:15 till 1pm with my brother & older sister.  Had a great time, but it wasn't the typical fishing day since I was showing my sis the "ropes" (she never fishes).  You all know how it goes when you are "teaching" someone (I know I was in her shoes not too long ago - so I was a bit more patient than brother).

Anyway, I only caught one, but it was a nice little female that had a red spot on her back side, so I guess she was dropping or done dropping.  I was pretty much throwing a wacky worm all morning - mixing in a lizard here in there.  Missed a few, but I think they were pickles and couldn't get the whole bait in there mouth before I was trying to yank them.  Finally learned to wait until the line started swimming off before setting, and got a pretty nice fish during the process.  It has been a while since I have been on Grand Bayou, so I have forgotten how BEAUTIFUL and strong these fish are.  Nice black lines down the side (Florida strain, right?) and fight like they want a shot at the title.

Anyway - I have seen that BALD EAGLE three times now, and this time I was blessed enough to be able to get three great photos of the majestic bird.  I am really happy with how the pics came out.  The bird has been in the same spot all three times, in a dead tree overlooking the water above a point almost directly across the lake from the main boat launch.  What a beautiful sight!

Grand Bayou is one of my favorite lakes, but I think I would have to say Caddo is my #1 choice.  I have a lot to learn on that lake, but I love the challenges and rewards Caddo presents.  I think it is one of those lakes that a master would probably still learn a thing or two about at any given time.

Well Mr Nitro treated me to my 1st ever C-rig fish today & to show it wasn't a fluke I put a 2nd C-rig fish in the boat.  We managed a few C-rig fish, spinnerbait fish & I even got one on a well lets just save that one for tournament day!  LOL  Photos of the trip are in the gallery.

Thanks again Mike had a blast!  ;D

Awsome pics Gabby, lucky you had the camera with you.  I noticed the same thing about GB when it came to the fight.  Last month, those fish hit and you just knew it was an over, only to find it was a 12" fish.  GB is nice and I have cought fish both times I fished it.  I just wish it was closer to home.

Awesome pictures. I have seen several Bald eagles at Toledo Bend and they are an awesome sight.

I had no idea we had Bald eagles down here.  I grew up and saw then & golden eagles in MN, so its real neat to see them now.

WHAT IS THE SLOT ON GRAND BAYOU.THANKS

Mike Cork

Nothing 14 inches to 17 inches. If it just touches either of those numbers it has to go back.

A word of caution the game wardens will make it as long as possilbe on the short end and as short as possilbe on the long end.

hope this helps  ~c~

If it touches 17 you have to throw it back?
