Didn't hit the Grand today....Between the wind and a 0200 rack time, I just can't do it...Maybe, just maybe, I can hit it on Monday despite the storms...More of this story tonight......Dave  >:D

Allright guys, see here's the deal. Grand is a LONG, LONG  way from the Bossier area, and one would think,"hey, I can fish, and no one would know that I did". Bad idea guys. I was driving in to work this morning and I know I saw two boats that were ours, then on the way home, I saw someone returning from what appeared to be grand....I am like the Grand fishing  PoPo . Fess up and give us some reports guys....Or...I will let the  >:D  out again.....Dave

All I can say is........you boys better be prefishing hard because I know a team or two that will be doing their homework EVERY month until December...

OK Mr. PoPo. I generally post my reports the next day because I can't wrestle the 'puter from the wife in the evenings lo!

Fished GB yesterday from 1100-1430. Water temp was 53-57 and fairly clear by our standards. Wind was pretty stiff out of the South which made fishing anything on the North bank really hard. I was bouncing around like a bobber :o! Managed one jack and one under, both on spinnerbaits. Got tired of fighting the wind and headed home.

You guys kill me. What is it 45 minutes from Bossier. That would be a blessing for us.

I had to get a shot in when I could. I like the tournaments on the grand due to the anticipation and I get to rib the club, I mean its the closest lake for me that we fish. Still I figure that I will have my butt handed to me this next  month.... :roll2: ...Dave

Fished GB Sun from 0730-1030 before the rain hit and boated 3 fish. 2 jack fish and 1 13 7/8 bass. Caught all 3 on a DT06 Crawfish crankbait in the creek channel west of the bridge. Tried C-rigs, rattletraps, spinnerbaits, worms, tubes with no luck sat. evening and sun morning.
Take a kid fishing, the smiles are priceless!!!

GEO

Went to grand Saturday and fished from about 10:30 to 4:00.  Caught 5 keepers on a rattletrap and caught 7 on a Carolina rigged lizard.  Fish were in 2-7 foot of water.  Also had three slot fish.  The buck bass were in the shallow water. Not warm enough for the female's to move up shallow yet.  It is nice to have the boat back ~c~

LOL  nothing can be as bad as Cypress was to me this Month.  Went back the week after the tournament and hooked into a few of the fish that didn't want to play the week before so I brought them home and had them for dinner!  >:D

Jared LeBlue

That's what I'm talking about. Teach them not to bite when they surpose to. lo

Red Ranger

Anybody been to GB lately?  Have a small tournament there Saturday and could use some scoop.

Been throwing 8inch watermelon/red Str8 tail Zoom worms, ShakyHead Style around the few docks on GB and getting some good fish from them. The docks closer to deep water have given up the bigger fish. One over six pounds. Hope this helps.

Has anyone tried dynamite on Grand B. I think I will try it this Sat. because I can't catch'em with anything else on this  ~xyz lake.

Rattle traps are the bait of choice this time of year for me on GB.  I have had lost of luck with topwater in the warmer months, however.  There is always main lake pionts with carolina rigs.  Trap is plan A, C-rig is plan B, dynamite is plan C.

What is shakyhead style?

kw4570gov

Sears,

Thanks for the info. I will follow your game plan and keep a stick of dynamite in my back pocket just in case!!!!!

BIG PAPA
