Fished the TCTC yesterday and boated 9 total...3 slots, 3 unders, and 1 Jackfish. Had a great time but could not find the big fish. Caught the first one on a popper before the sun got up then 2 on a white/chart. spinnerbait. The rest was caught on a watermelon red paddletail worm fished over grass. Congrats to the top teams!!!

Fished the TCTC tournament yesterday and had a great start.  Went to one of my favorite points and my partner started the day with a three and a five pounder within 10 minutes. Those were caught on white spinnerbait. I then caught a three on a watermelon candy senko with a split shop about a foot above the hook.  My partner caught an under on the spinner and we already had 12 pounds in the boat and it wasn't even nine o'clock.  We decided to change our game plan and start carolina rigging early.  We went to one of the many large flats and started throwing a carolina rigged senko and I lost two that were definatly overs!!!  We fsihed a little further and I caught a 5.10.  It was only 9:30 and we had a solid limit and were looking for one more over.  We fished carolina rig the rest of the day and never managed to land a over.  We caught a few that were just shy.  All in all a great day for us.  Hopefully this will help some folks have a great fishing trip.

A buddy of mine has a tourney coming up on Grand Bayou so we went this morning from 8:30 am til 11:00 am so I could show him around and we caught 17 fish very quickly (3 were overs).........12 of them came within a 40 yard stretch. Shallow hydrilla and junebug senkos were the ticket .The wind started rocking around 10:30 so we left soon after...he had to be in Monroe this afternoon anyway. That lake amazes me during the week when no one else is out there its the most productive lake Ive ever fished. The overs were between 17 and 18 inches. No hogs.

Well, I felt discouraged enough after fishing GB today, but I feel even worse after reading Chris' report.....fished on perfect day; clouds, little wind, water temp 62 - 66...fish in the shallows......and caught one! (19 ", 3.5 lbs) on a white spinner in about 4-5 feet near a seawall.....hung another in tall grass on a w/m seed senko, and another in 5 feet over a grass bed on the same, spooked several in holes in tall grass when I cast over them....I guess I had the wrong color, wrong presentation, wrong shirt....

saw numerous beds with fish on a few.....this weekend ought to be  awesome....

oh well, you know what they say about a bad day fishing and a good day at work.....

My partner was throwing a white spinnerbait at first ....he changed after I caught my 4th fish within a few minutes. The fish are very concentrated in this area of the lake. We were fishing in 1-3 ft of water ....could not buy a bite in 3 feet plus......These fish have been there for at least a  week...PM me if you are interested and I will give you specific information on the area Im talking about.

Hit up GB yesterday from 1500 till dark.  We managed 10 on trick worms texas rigged with no weight. 2 overs, 2 slots, and the rest unders. First 5 were scatterd down the bank in 1-2 foot of water.  Closer to dark our last five all came if there was a stick in the water.  It was fun, but wish the wind wasnt up so bad.  Kept me from hitting the hot spot.  Water temp ranged from 71-73.

Hey brent did you fish the bank that I caught all the overs on during the TCTC?  I am heading out there tomorrow morning to give it a shot.

Fished the club tournament yesterday on the Grand. I had went earlier in the week and had one of my best days ever. Throwing a C-rig with the new 9-inch V&M power lizzard in watermelon/red over main lake humps and ridges i caught a 8.6 and a 7.2. Feeling this was going to be a great spot I moved on to my favorite point and pick up a 4 pounder. So I figured I was all set for the weekends tournament. How fishing changes from one day till the next is what makes it the awsome sport it is.

Stayed most of the day over the ridges and only picked up one 4 pounder and eight slot fish this would be my only fish all day. But the other members had a great day. Top weight was 18 pounds and big bass was a monster at 9 pounds, all caught on spinnerbaits and C-rigs.
