Just wanted to see if anyone had been out on the ice. I'll be going out soon and was looking for some tips. I'm thinking about cocolalla lake or one of the smaller ones. Any input would be great. Thanks.

Dress Warm and make sure the Ice is thick enough and always tell someone where your going and have a set of Ice Spikes handy ...

I gave it up this year but I have found memories out on the Hardwater

Some tips that might help :

If you have a Flasher use it to mark some structure ( be it drop off points , logs , rocks , etc)
fish as close to the structure as you can

If you have an underwater camera great use it help you find fish ...

If you cant get any bites downsize your lure

the hottest thing on the Ice now is Plastics or Small Vertical Jigs
there are few site I know where you can buy both

let me know if your intrested ans I will send there address

That would be great. I went out once this year to a little lake with a dock. The ice was about 3" thick. My buddy went out 20' or so, but I had better luck sitting on the dock. The next trip will be on a larger lake. I know next to nothing about ice fishing so any help would be great. Thanks again.

I'm right there with ya. I've been going through by tackle bag over and over again. Was going to go out on CDA last weekend, but my buddy could not get his boat out of storage because there was 3' of that nice ice/snow mix blocking the road. Can't wait.
