Flying Lures...  ;) Don't laugh...

When the water is high & there is no space between the water and piers & boathouses, this bait dives backwards getting under the dock when nothing else can.

I have actually caught fish that way after getting p/o'ed because I couldn't get my bait under the docks.

Lake Fork Tackle's Ring Fry. Weightless in grass Watermelon/red flake can't be beat. They are soft and pliable. More than a few fish can be caught on one. they are heavy and cast great.. give em a try....Dave

Nitro Fish

Charlie Brewer's Slider Worm

A very good goto bait for those lock jaw bass, spinning combo rigged with a slider wide gap head.  I've caught my share of fish with this setup, even crappie.  Very small profile bait, fish pick it up and run.

Or as dumb as this sounds I like to use a small bodied Wiggle Wart in a chartruse color for pond fishing (8-10ft deep pond) you can cover a lot of mid water and suspend quite easily for a non-aggressive biting day. They also don't cost an arm and a let :)

The most disappointing lure I have ever had would be the ROLAND MARTIN HELICOPTER Lure my wife bought these for me and I told her from now on just give me money or ask I will tell you what to get. :roll2:

Pop-R by Rebel

I love the original Pop-R in the 1/4 oz. size silver or clear are my choices this is a great little hard chuck bait that'll wake up the most lethargic bass...

If I have to throw a jig...and people that know me will tell you that ain't often...it will be a Terminator jig.  I like the way it looks in the water and is one of the few jigs I have caught fish on...I like the rattles also.

Now lets see how many times I have to click on "post" to get this one in.  lo

One more from B&D Custum Lures is the Evilution V twin arm spinnerbait.  This is THE best slow rolling SB there is.  You can roll this thing much slower than any single arm since even when it falls on it's side, it still has one arm and blades still up off the bottom.  Colors and blade count varies for the conditions you are fishing for optimum performance.  Most of the time, I prefer natural colors for this lure and I usually go with the EV4 which has 4 blades to flash and draw attention.

Actually when I fish with my nieces we use a good old fashioned K&E Bass Stopper worms, the ones with the three hooks in them and the white dot on the worm segment. They love em. Still work great for tricking fish under 12" long. Then again a couple of years ago my dad caught a 4lber on a KE. I think that the bass are ready for the old time lures again!!!!

Lil' Fishies...
They have an awesome swimming action. The tail actually swims giving it a lifelike appearance in the water.

Now for the old stand by: the chrome rat-L-trap. fish it fast or slow, steady retieve or yo-yo retireve, over grass or open water.. It works....Dave

I can't read that fast guys and post at the same time. AND I am cooking supper, my computer has locked up twice  also....Dave

Gene Larues salt craw is one of the best river baits you can fish. They have been around for ever and they still work and many have tried to imitate them but none have had as much success.

anyone fish with the strike works jigs, I am thinking of buying a few and trying em out, good feedback? they look great (finesse jig especially)!

Bandit Footloose in Firetiger is the best shallow river smallie catching crank I have found to date.  I've been using them since I believe 1999.  These suckers do a great job in moving water.  Many times I will let it go with the flow into the eddies and then retrieve it in a jerking fashion and it will get hit so fast it will make my heart skip a beat.

Little Cleo Spoons

I love the Little Cleo Spoons because they come in aggressive colors, and even at 1/3 oz. size you can cast em a mile, they have a great enticing wobble even at a medium to fast retrieve.

Nitro Fish

Lake Fork - Baby Fork Craw

This bait is small and tube like in the shape of a crawdad, I've caught several fish on this bait when nothing else worked.  It must be the garlic and salt combination that gives it a one-two punch when caughting bass.

Another old stand by: Hope no one else has posted this. Chug-Bug. I like to put this on my kids rods and sometimes Nitro Girls rod. Great top water bait and I don't really see many of these being thrown which gives me an advantage...I like it in chrome....Dave

It seems to be slowing a bit.  Have we covered every single bait out there?  lo

Lunker Lure buzz bait...been around for years and keeps on putting fish in the boat.  I like it because...because I have been using it for years and have a lot of confidence in it.

Lunker Lure Buzzbait

I love the Lunker Lure Buzzbait because I can get really small ones that can be retrieved extremely slow...and with their small size, I don't miss too many fish because the fish have a tendence to totally engulf this bait.

bassadict69

Original H&H spinnerbait

These cheap spinnerbaits have caught fish for me when nothing else would work. Not even the same color regular spinnerbait. I guess it has a smaller profile in the water.

Just don't forget to put the hook on it. I didn't do it...my buddy di!  lo  ~shade  :-[

Mike Cork

I love the gene larew craw worm in the 4" size during colder water and the zoom super chunk in warmer waters

Dave the chug bug is far from a stranger to my line I like the fact that it can be worked so many different ways chugging or walking the dog or poping and setting it sit. it's definatley one hope many folks don't try

What about some old time favorites that you don't hear much about but you know they still work like the Arbogast Jitter Bug.You know that bait has put some fish in the boat.

Mister Twister Twin Tail Grubs

I love to use this bait as a stand alone bait on a stand up jig, or as a trailer on a 1/2 oz single spin the double pulsating action of the tentacles drives active fish crazy...this is a good thing

dave the dope man

I have used these on a few occasions. The heartbeater twin blade buzzbait. twin blades, now that I can live with. I can be retieved slow or fast, over very shallow grass. I have a witness to catching 3 fish on three repeated casts to the same spot....Dave
