Lipripper

I really like the Southern Pro jig bodies because of their sault content and of the way they are constructed. They seem to last long than the cheeper brands

Kats Rule And Bass Drool.Viet Nam Vet

Tie a floating rogue on a carolina rig. It is definately something different most fish haven't seen before.

Man...the secrets you'll give up to win something!  ~shhh

Nitro Fish

I like the Maddog Loto Jig, it has a integrated lead keeper on the hook shaft to hold plastic trailers and a unique molded cup in the lead head to disburse water when jigging, excellent wide gap hook and silicone skirts to match any hatch.

Rooster Tail by Worden

This is a great little spinner that can be worked fairly slowly, casts like a bullet and entices crappies, gills, bass, and trout alike...a super all around bait.

I have done well with the Yamamoto Hula Grub the last two years up on Lake Erie.  In 2003 it was the rootbeer pepper/green flake and in 2004 it was the black with chartreuse skirt.  Problem is that both color combos have been discontinued.
Ii believe that one of the reasons the Hula Grub has worked well is due to the smallmouth bass are getting conditioned to negative re-enforcement after biting the plethora of tubes that get thrown at them on a daily basis.

I still think that dead sticking a finesse worm on those slow days is a great way to get the fish to hit. I always still to a primary red or purple though.

It takes a lot of patience but you can get a handful on an otherwise uneventful day!

bassadict69

The Horny Toad because it can be fished through just about anything without getting hung up where the big fish hide.

Moss Boss

I love the Moss Boss because when I fish heavy slop, it's a spoon that 99% of the time lands with the hook facing the sky, which means I can throw it in the heaviest of slop and not get hung up...can be worked slow or fast, and bass eat it like they've never seen it before, time after time after time

Yitbos78

I am still fishing the Rat (white) over pads here in michigan for not getting as hung up in the far back casting zones. I would strongly recommend putting on a trailer hook. You can zip it back there and 5 out of 10 times you can get some action out of it whether a bass or blue gill

dave the dope man

Falcon Rods: I just got my first two Falcon rods this past month for Christmas. I have the 5 and 1/2 foot medium heavys. They are light and responsive and have plenty of backbone along with a good tip. the rod seems to be built of a quality material and has good componets....the handles are comfortable also....Dave

Super Frog

I love the Super Frog, because it's not only fairly weedless, but its limp flat, lifelike legs seem to propel it forward as a real frog does when you hop it along the surface...bass and pike love to eat this one up.

Nitro Fish

Old Storm Wiggle Wart

This litte crankbait is a very erratic swimmer with strike appeal, bass just have to hit it.

Yitbos78

I also like using Bass Hawg 12" worms for working over the pads in the morning. In the colors purple or pumkinseed.

You can normally get a strike just off the outside edge of the pads. It works like a charm in placid mornings/overcast!

FisherMOM

Jitterbug by Arboghast

Fished across the water at daybreak or dusk, it resembles a frog or duckling.
looks like an easy mean for most bass

Even if you've been fishing for 3 hours
and haven't gotten anything except
poison ivy and a sunburn,
you're still better off than the worm.

BassBUFF

Norman baby N in chrome/blue back. This is a killer lure fished along the weed line or just inside a creek channel. It's got a great action.

Jared LeBlue

I like Bill Lewis rattle traps. I can cover a lot of water with them and I like the sound they produce. They also offer the most variety of colors and sizes out of any brand of lipless crankbaits.

One valuable lesson I learned a couple of years ago when working the shoreline with topwater (Pop R...there is no other :) ) every 20 -25 feet you go throw back behind the boat to see if you worked up any straglers. This has put me to 5 fish and 2 wins in tourneys over the past 3 years

bassadict69

Fish a white lizard in summer...weightless around moss, pads & grass. I don't know why, but I catch alot using it.

Fishaholic

Beetle Spin

I love the beetle spin because it's not only great for schooling bass, but it's hot for slab crappies, giant gills and white bass love it...it can be worked as a mini-buzz bait, or simply swum allowing it to flutter downward once in a while...drives fish crazy.

Jared LeBlue

As for deep diving crank baits I have found that Norman Crank baits work the best. I like the designs and the action of these lures.

Basseye
Lippum and Leavum
The BASS you save may be mine!!

BassBUFF

Strike King Bleeding Spinnerbaits- I like to slow roll these over laydowns in the summer. White and White/chart. has been the best producers.

Yitbos78

I still love the rattle trap as well, blue and silver is still the color for me. I like working them on the dropoff in mid to late summer. They tend to move some 14-16 bass pretty easily out of hiding

Nitro Fish

War Eagle SpinnerBaits

Top of the line in spinnerbaits, very good producer.  I like the variety of size, color, and blade combinations available with quality components.

Rapala Floating Minnow - F18

the Rapala Floating Minnow, model F18, in the perch finish is a super rip n stop bait for giant largemouths and smallies alike...when I was in Minnesota using this technique, the guides were astonished at the fish I was catching day after day during bluebird skies and a coldfront...with Rapala, all things are possible
