I'm another one that hasn't thrown many jigs in my time.  I plan to change that this year.  I just haven't been able to get myself to slow down that much during T's.  What I have thrown the last couple of years and am sure to continue throwing is yet another B&D Custom Lures specialty.  It is called the "Pit Viper" and one of the big things I like most about this one is that it has a different weed guard than most.  It is a plastic V and I don't have to hassle with trimming it down on every one that I use.  One of the most aggrevating things to me is getting those blasted other type weed guards trimmed as I like.

Once again, my favorite color is rootbeer.  (Do you think there is a pattern here.)

Oh wait, How about TV favorites like the Dance's Ill. Has anyone ever caught a fish on that bait. The funny thing is it actually looked great in the water, hell I would have bit it if I were a fish.  :roll2:

I like working a nice jerk bait like the SP Pointer. It has about one of the most lifelike paint jobs on it. It actually isn't paint it is a wrap with a moving shad like look with lifelike eyes. It is killer in the 3-4 foot range jerking. I find it works best on a drop from around 5-10ft of water.

Hawaiian Wiggler by Arbogast

I'm not sure this bait is still in production, but it's such an effective bait for river fishing that I still continue to use a few of the ones I have left...retrieves well across current and against current, is most effective with an Uncle Josh eel as a trailer

How about the boy howdy it's been around for ages. And it will still put fish in the boat swimming it or twitching it.

Mepps Comet Combo Killer

I love this bait because it's like fishing a plastic worm with a spinner on the front...ripped across the top of emergent weeds this one's a real hawg killer

Also the Storm Wild Eye swim shad. Great color/ lifelike in the eyes as well as the bloodread markings in the throat. I work these in any depth when fish are really active. I like using the 3" in a pearl color. My sisters kids, i throw a 1-1/2 inch on theirs for big pan fish and small bass. Also they have a killer lateral line!!

Nitro Fish

Woo Daves Stinger Jig

I like the 1/2 oz Black/Blue Stinger jig, it has a wide gap hook with a flash skirt.  This jig has produced large fish for me whether I use a pork or plastic trailer. I just like it.

How about the lucky Craft bevey shad it's a shot suspending jerkbait that suspends nose down. That way when a fish hits it he gets a face full of hooks.

Strike King Spinner Baits

I love this bait for pulling through the reed and bullrush stumps...the bass seem to really slam into this bait...it's a keeper

bass1cpr

The lucky Craft Staceyee shad is a deep diving suspending jerkbait that you can work down to about 10 feet for those deeper suspended fish.

Another olde but goodie, The tiny torpedo. I know I have fished this since I was a kid, and it just keeps getting better. I like it because it make plenty of noise and surface disruption. I can catch plenty of small fish as well as BIG fish. I lke 'em....Dave

I  love fishing with my Lucky Craft topwater 3" with feather tail in silver and black. It has great action (walking the dog) but it doesn't move nearly as much water as the pop-r. Also I hate the thought of loosing a lure over $10.00!! Unless I am fishing in a tourney with a good payout :)

Thin Fin

This is a relatively small crank bait with a slim profile from the front and a large profile from the side, it has a real tight wobble and since it has a great deal of buoyancy, it's a great stop n go bait. I really like what it does when you rip it...and so do the bass.

bass1cpr

I like the Strike King bitsy Flip Jigs up to 1/4 oz. they have a barb on them for holding you plastic trailer in place and they have a good Mustad hook.

Oldie and goodie again,,,,soryy I like the standards...Pop-R. I lie the chrome color. It can be fished like everyone else OR do like Zell Rowland did to place high with one several years ago, a constant steady retieve that produces plenty of bubbles...Dave

Uncle Wes's Custom Worm Trolls

This is a great live bait rig, but I use it for smallies by rigging it with a Lindy grub in lieu of the live crawler...I put a slip sinker on my line, a bead, a snap swivel and then Uncle Wes's Worm Troll...slowly crawled along the bottom, this is a deadly smallmouth tactic for rivers with strong currents.

Lucky Craft FlatCB MR this bait runs down to about six feet it's like fishing a lipped Rattle trap. It comes in three different sizes that run different depths.

On a Jig I prefer the Uncle Josh Pork Rinds. I think they better action than the plastic trailers and I think bass hold on to them better.

I think that I hate to say it but my true love the Pop-R looks to be a lot of peoples go to bait.....

Fire Tiger Spinner Bait by Dandy Baits

Actually I haven't used it yet, but I'm already in love with the thought of what I'll be doing with this bait, it's awesome configuration tells me I'm gonna catch a lot of bass on this one...it's a keeper!!
