I really like Gene Lerew Worms, they have a lot of salt in them and it helps the fish hold on to the worm longer.

I know this is similar but also different.  I like Gene Larew Ringworms because you can push the hook thru more than a smooth worm...and the rings help keep it from getting hung up.

I am a big soft plastic user. I love using Schuberts tube baits 4". They not only have great action and scent but they also hold up really well.

Fishaholic

I like the Snagless Sally by the Hildebrandt Corporation because it's a jointed straight shaft spinner with the weight in the back, it's totally weedless, tree proof and can be worked a variety of ways.

I use it to buzz the top, constant retrieve, hop n stop, as a drop bait...you can add trailers and the list of variations is only limited by your imagination.

Berkley Power worms: With all the available colors and tail designs a person should be able to match their favorite worm type. Now, there is something about the scent dispersion that I believe attracts the fish and will make them hold the bait in thier mouth a little longer toallow for a hook set. I believe in this product and reccomend them highly.....Dave     Hope this gets in and is not too early

Does anyone here like Berkley power baits. I have had nothing but problems with them. They always come off the offset shank of my 2/0 hook. Anyone know how to keep them from sliding down? (so greasy)

MotherNature

I really like the Cavitron Buzzbaits, they have a flat area on the head and it seems to allow them to be slowrolled during the cold winter months to catch that bass that is being finiky.

Baby 1 minus... They have a little different wobble than other cranks making them something a little different in front of the bass. They are also shallow running making them excellent for shallow water and fishing above the grass in the flats.

Yitbos78

dave, can you fill me in on this...sounds like you love them. I have personally always had better luck with zoom or my fav worms culprit (love the tail spin) and colors!

FisherMOM

I like Dick's Prostyle Triple Threat Slo-Roller Spinnerbaits because
you can reel them in slowly and they still spin and flash.
This is good on cold days or when the bass are being lazy. ~cf

Even if you've been fishing for 3 hours
and haven't gotten anything except
poison ivy and a sunburn,
you're still better off than the worm.

I like throwing the Panther Martin Holograph Minnows. They are pretty life-like, move well, and are relatively durable!

Fishaholic

I like the Johnson Silver Minnow by the Johnson & Johnson Corp. because it's a great wobble bait, it triggers a lot of hits especially in heavily weeded areas, and can be worked fast or slow...comes in a variety of basic colors, but gold and silver are still the best two colors...when fish hit this bait, they usually do so in a seriously aggressive manner.

Right Bite Tubes: When I fish a tube, I usually fish a 5" tube. I recommend the Right Bite brand of tube, in particular the smoke/red flake. They are heavy in salt, and the tassles are long enough to produce a tantalizing action. If a person feels they are too long they can always be trimmed. I like them texas rigged for flipping and pitching....Dave

rooster tails. Tie one on & you can usually catch a few smaller fish to weigh when the monsters are impossible to find.

Yitbos78

I don' t know about you all, but i still love fishing with a pumkin seed lizard, texas rigged with chartruse tail and legs thru spawn. They hit'em like a freight train

FisherMOM

Storm SubWart.

Love this crankbait because it can also be fished similar to a top water lure.  It will rise to the surface when you stop reeling to get that bass's attention
below the surface as well as at the surface. It resembles a dying fish.

Fishaholic

I like the tube insert jigs manufactured by Fishaholic because they allow a 1/4 oz tube to sink slowly, which means you can cast the bait a long distance, and skip it under a dock with ease...because only the tube is visible to the fish a better finnesse presentation is possible.

Yitbos78

How bout mad maxx's crayfish, rig em like a tube bait and they are killer for smallmouth bass fishing. Never let me down yet, hook is to the front of the crawdad and you pull it backwards like it moves in defence mode

dave the dope man

Bandit Lures Footloose: Now this is a great bait. I fish it in shallow water for those aggressive fish. Its easy to fish for a beginner, and that is why I buy several of them. Great for kids and others who don't fish that often, however, It can be fished in a variety of ways with modifications. I can fish them whenever a spinnerbait OR a buzzbait works and it shows them (the fish) something different. There is a variety of colors available..Highly recommended at 9/10.....Dave

The Imfamous Senko.

I learned to love them this year.  Not sure if it the salt or the appearance,
but fished weightless and Texas Rigged, they are something that a Largemouth
Just can't resist or let go of right away!  I prefer Red Shad or Blue

Laurie, if you are asking me i always use zoom lizards. Killer action !!!!!!!!

Fishaholic

Bettencourt Assassin

I love this bait because for a surface bait, it has a large profile, 2 joints and a plastic tail for superior at rest perpetual action...comes in 8 or so superior colors and is a hawg bass magnet...In one season I caught 4 bass over 21" with this bait...for Indiana those are nice fish!

bassadict69

I always use a rattle stuck in my plastics. It gives an extra little somthing for the fish to hone in on & sounds like a crawfish. I have had to give my partner a rattle when he was using the exact same color & bait but not getting any bites.

BassBUFF

Zoom speed worms (Vibratail). i fish them weightless and buzz them across matted vegetation and pause them in any opening. They have a very slow fall rate.
