Anyone here run an XPRESS?  What are your thought on performance, warranty, handling, and quality?

Hey Kevin, got 2 of them right now. Just upgraded to a bigger boat(X-19 Tournament Series). The Tournament Series boats have gas shocks on the access doors & lighted compartments for night fishing. I have no complaints with mine. The aluminum can be a bit heavier than those glass boys, but I don't have to worry about fiberglass repairs or stress fractures, just get it welded if needed. The newer Xpress boats have a lifetime hull warranty. The 19's and larger are built from .125 aluminum, very stout! You can get alot of boat for say $20K in aluminum versus glass, they have really came along way compared to the old style jon boats. I know, they're not quite as pretty as glass but they are built like battleships & last forever. They're not quite the status symbol like a Triton, but it's not a fashion show for me when I'm wetting a line. The ride is stable & the new HyperLift hulls do a great job, even in the rough. The back of the boat looks rather wicked with all the different angles, an 8' beam, and a 200 hanging off the rear!

Is noise a problem?  Or are the floors carpeted to help deaden excess noise?  What do you get for top speed with the 200 on the back?  Appreciate the info.

No, the noise is not bad at all. If I were going to buy a brand spankin' new one, I would get the sprayed in bedliner material instead of carpet anyway. That way all you would have to do is spray it out with a water hose when you get back to the house. If you do any saltwater fishing, it makes cleanup very easy. Top speeds range from 70-75mph depending on setup. I'm running a 12" Hydro Dynamics Rapid Jack manual JP & a 25P TR04 Powertech 4 blade prop. I'm planning on doing some testing maybe by next weekend to see what it will gps at, once it is dialed in. Check out this website - http://www.bassboatcentral.com/ - go to BBC Boards then find the Xpress forum. There are a few used boats on there as well, if you're looking to save some cash.

Hope this helps.... ;D
