could buy some white and they dye it to the color you want.

The only problem with small floats is, I've had them get clogged in the overflow and with the pumps running the water finds it's way in the bilge and before long my bilge pump is running.... This happened with the BPS Culling system I had purchased.... Then I Tried the Chains with the little crankbait floats on them and they got tangled and the chains broke to easily... The floating poly rope adds no stress to the fish as they are not attached to a float making the fish come up in the livewell of the bottom where they like to be...I tried dying the white ropes the colors I wanted but that didn't work using Lure dye or paint. That's why I'm looking for the Colored Poly rope. I know it's out there somewhere I just can't seem to find it. :bang

Well I guess I will try my parachute cord when I get home from work and let you know if it floats.  If it does, you can get 50" lengths for 3.95 each 32 different colors.

In the end, it's not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away.

If you find the rope I want in :-*

However, for now I found some pens that kids use to draw on back packs and clothes at Wal Mart in the arts and crafts section. Directions are to apply and then heat set (I used a blow dryer for just a minute) before laundering, I figured if it could hold up to a washing machine it should hold up in a live well. Seems to be working. I don't know now long it will last but I can't wash it off yet. Still letting it soak in water for a while to see what happens. So far so good :-*

a set of 5 pens was only 6 bux ;) It's a little more effort than finding colored rope but it works ~c~

Parachute cord only floats for awhile that's not an option.  I like Mike's suggestion but that would be a pain in the butt to do for 20 ft...

Mike, does it say what kind of dye material it is, perhaps there is another way??

Just says it's all natural  :roll2: must be pigmy die or something. It's not bad I only colored about 6-8 inches, just enough to distigush one from the other.

Oh.....I'll be expecting my free set that you'll be making me 8) 8) 8)

scwildbill

Hey Monkey... I'm waaaay ahead of you on that....I'm not looking for a stop gap measure like you Coasties do... I'm looking for the real thing...

I know I can use shrink tubing or colored electrical tape(which I'm using now) but I want more more professional looking product when I'm done making these things.

Here's what I have now:

Notice the "orange" one.... This is the one I tried to dye because I lost the original. It has already started fading...

If anyone has any other Sources. Please post them for me.

Bill, why don't you go to Home Depot and buy one of those '900 cable ties for $10' deals. They have assortments of small cable ties in red, green, yellow, black and white.  Use white cord and just put 5 red ties on one, 5 yellow ties on another, etc.  Trim the end of the cable ties close and you should be good to go.

Good idea Neil but still not a professional looking solution... I'm looking for the Hollow Poly Different Colored Line so that they look like the ones I am trying to duplicate....

I know there's got to be a manufacturer of this line out there somewhere and I would have sworn with the resources we have here that someone would find them cause I sure haven't been able to.. :(

scwildbill

Nope.... those are not hollow Poly.... See that's the problem...I'm finding all kinds of sites that sell all kinds off different "Like" products but I can't find the site that has the Poly colored rope, line whatever you want to call it that looks like the pic that I posted. This is getting very frustrating as I know it's got to be out there somewhere. :bang :bang :bang

Yup that's the same link I gave him.

Unfortunately I think your going to have to find someone that's buying the larger lengths and buy some off them....  However the 100 ft lengths aren't really that much more.
Or bid for those other colors on ebay.  Just how many colors do you want?

If you buy the larger amounts (100ft) I am sure there are more than a few of us that would be willing to buy a set at a decent price and you can recoop.  Heck you might even get some pre-orders to help you with the expense of it figure out what a set would cost and let me know... I will pre-order if you can wait until the 12th and have a paypal account.

Dug... It's really not the expense either....I'm looking for All the colors you see in the Pic.. White, Yellow, Orange, Red, Green, and Blue or Black. None of the sites so far that I've seen offer all these colors in 3/8 or 1/2...

Dug

Yup but they do in the 1/4 size.  If you can down size your in business!

Or you can try here..
