I'd actually been thinking about something like this during the fall. We got a new puppy and she's quite the boat dog, but leaving a rod on the deck with multiple treble hooks made me nervous. Now i'll have a way to protect both her and the bait!

The decals have arrived!!!!! I'll be shipping them out in the morning to all the winners.

So be on the lookout for a suspicious large white envelope. If anyone has any questions just shoot me an e-mail. Be sure to read the tips if you have a problem opening them as they take a little bit to get them broke in.

What are you talking about? Mine all worked right out of the box. I've got one sitting in my van right now getting cold so I can see how well they work in freezing temps...

Most of them work just fine. It's just the 4". She can be a bit tight for some people.
I do have a new shipment of lightsticks in for those that fish at night. They also work great if you need to have a quick and safe means of producing light without heat or flames. Power outs, camping, hunting, parties, or anything that you can think of. Each one will last 24 hrs. or longer and compared to those other brands these retail for about 1/2 the price. Keep a lookout in the contest section for a few different little packages that are gonna be given away in the next week.

Eyefish2good....funny you mention the light sticks....Having only fished at night a couple of times, I would definitely be willing to try\purchase those for those night fishing moments. Believe it or not, there are guys here in NJ that won't go out unless the night temps get in the mid 30's or 40's......and yes they are catching hogs.

I got mine in today also. These are going to be nice to have and use. Ex specially when I have the grandkids out fishing with me. Fantastic product!

Got mine in the mail today! What a wonderful idea and product. I've got mine ready for use next weekend. I'll feel a lot better with my daughters handling the rods when we fish knowing the tamers are on there to keep them from accidentally snaggin on a CB while hikin in to the hole. Thanks again for the contest and contributing to the best bass board on the net. It's greatly appreciated!

Also got my lure tamers today, and I definitely like them alot better than the other similar product I once tried. Now I can easily pack rods safely on the float tube without worrying about sinking my own ship. No more homemade fixes. These things are the bomb! Thanks again to lure tamer, and to Mike for getting the decals for us as well. I am going to put it on my float tube so I can share the news with the other tubers.

Mike, I must be the step-child as I have not received mine yet, but am looking forward to it.

I know Paul Revere and Ceasar Rodney were on horseback in this neck of the woods so I'm not worried

Bet it gets here monyana, either that or me and the post office are goin fist-city, cause I plan on using it as soon as the weather breaks............

Loony - you're not the only step-child. Mine hasn't showed up yet either, but the mail is normally a little slow in my neck of the woods. In fact, I get the feeling my mail people really only come to my house when they feel like it. I can go days without any mail, then all of a sudden POOF my mailbox is jammed full.

My Pony Express arrived today

when I opened it...........I was going to purchase some of these from BPS although they may go under another name, but I saw them on a fellow competitors rods a couple of weeks ago and since I keep a DT-6, DT-10, JSR-7, and a Skitter-pop hooked up I thought I would need those things I saw...........

I was like a kid in the candy store------I immediately after opening the package went outside, shook the snow off the cover of the Queen mary, opened the rod locker and
applied these fine lure-tamers to my rods and reels...............

Thank You so much for the Lure-Tamers, I may even place your decal on the truck

Really I don't put decals on the truck, nor advertisements, BUT in this case I may make an exception..........................Thanks again, really appreciated..............

I also just received my Lure Tamers today, and they are awesome. Especially for the riders out there. I hate showing up with my rods and having to deal with the hooks snagging onto something when you are trying to get out on the boat and get fishing. These things are sweet!

The ones that they are selling cannot even come close in the design or quality of my product.
A few of the main differences are:::::
1. Top is bored out and all edges are round and smooth. ( prevents kinked and chaffed lines)
2.Opens from the top w/ just a squeeze and lid helps act as guide keeping your fingers safe
3. Variety of sizes. Bps has hat size available (1 size fits all)
4.The bps one has a clip on the back that you are supposed to force on to your rod. This can ruin the finish, slam into your guides or completly fall off when you place it on another rod. With mine that will never happen because the Lure Tamer attaches to your reel.
I could go on but I'm sure you get the point.
I my be a little biased because it's my baby... But even I can tell a cheapy when I see it...Hopefully someday soon they will be available there. Until then you can find them at your local retailers(coming soon to a place near you) or at Luretamer.com

I just opened mine tonight as well

All I can say is I was completely amazed at what I saw. I am going to be pulling out the tackle bag and do some playing around
