Being able to fish Falcon, Amistad, and Choke Canyon, it's hard to say which is my VERY favorite.  They are all great lakes with a lot of offer the angler.  Falcon - hardwoods, rock piles, other types of structure (old foundations from homes, cemetaries, old cattle/horse pens, etc), Amistad - grass, grass, grass, along with some great flats and deep points, and Choke Canyon having a great combination of hardwoods, grass, and hugh alligators!!   ~fff

;) Lake Fork Texas is one of the best lakes that I have ever fished. It has not been very hot this year and there have only been three weeks of temps in the 100s. July was the best month for me ever. Went fishing on the 23rd and 24th and landed the best fish todate, a matter of fact I was able to land three that were from 10.1 to 10.6. Found them with electronics in about 18 to 22 ft of water just off of the bank in a small cove. Caught a total of 9 that day and was only on the water for three hours 6 to 9 PM. ~beer~
Keep a tight line and good luck!

Always take your girl or WIFE fishing and you will be rewarded

Not even a mention of Lake Conroe.
Mine would be 1. Conroe 2. Houston County Lake(Only lakes i've fished out here).
I'm going to Fork soon though.
Catchin' the pigs.

i absolutely love stillhouse hollow for the quality size of the bass, as for sheer numbers i enjoy going to lbj. not too many people talk about stillhouse, but a couple months ago during a 3 hour tourney i had 5 fish 30.25 lbs and still came in 3rd.

Choke Canyon, but watch out for the  ~gator!

Interesting thread-I can read the lakes and figure pretty much where everyone is located.

hperk

Amistad and Choke Canyon for sure. My personal is from Choke. Lots of wildlife at Choke besides the gators.
