Were to start. I have a 05 185pro, dual console with a 150 merc on it. I had been looking at boats for about 2 years when I bought this one. I went to all the local deals, looked on the internet and even looked out of town. All I had every owned up to this point was a little jon boat when I was in high school. That was really all I needed at the time. So, off I go looking for a souped up jon boat. At the beginning of 06 I started fishing in tournaments with a friend and was hooked, so now I need a bass boat. Being in the military, I have done business with folks out of town and I am not a fan of it. I find you get much better results when you can go stand on someone desk if need be to get things done. I went into the shop looking for a 17 foot boat with a 90 horse on it because that was all I need. When the sales man came up to me and told me he had a deal for me. :ass
Well, I ended up with this 18 foot boat that look so good but I have no ideal how to drive it. As time goes on, I get it figured out and off we go.

I love my boat and some of the changes I put on my survey after I bought it they have changed on the new 07's coming out. With hind sight being 20/20, I should have had the 175 put on it and a jack plate, but the 150 does well. I did add a fin to the motor that help with the bow lift on my hole shot and ended up putting a hot foot on it. I have had it for just over a year and I am ready to up grade. ProCraft will get my attention on the next one, for sure.

I will get some pitcures up of it soon.

That's why I got a used one first, that way I could figure out exactly what I wanted/afford. I looked hard at the Pro Crafts, good boat for the money. Take your time and get what you really want this time!

I purchased a 2004 pro185 used this past spring with a 150 XR6 on a jack plate.  I got an awsome deal on the boat and couldn't be happier.  I have plenty of power with the 150, no issues with holeshot or top end. I love the stability of the procraft and will be a repeat buyer.
I'm kinda cheap and agree with some of the other guys.  Buy used, #1. let someone else take the depreciation hit. #2. If you end up not likeing the rig you won't be stuck in something you can't sell and payoff.

For those of you that know me I have a 2006 192 DC Super Pro with a 200 Merc Optimax.  It is full flake (Cypress green) and sliver trim. I bought the boat new from Travis Marine last Feb. and had a few extras added to it.  Keel Guard, 10" jack plate, adjustable hot foot, Lowrance LMS 332C GPS at the helm and a Lowrance X-125 at the bow.  I have to admit that the color GPS has me spoiled and wish I had the color up front as well.  The X-125 is a great unit though.

The only thing I would have done differently is a hydraulic jack plate.  The one I have now is adjustable but it is SO hard to get them in just the right spot.  :bang  Being able to push a button and move it around would be awesome.  The boat handles wonderfully and the 94" beam gives it awesome stability in the big water.  It is also a very dry ride.  For the money you would spend on all the other brands of bass boats I promise you will get everything in a ProCraft that you look for and save up to $8,000 if you look at the 21' and over.

The best thing about it is the customer service and new friends I have made at the dealer.  Those guys go out of their way to help with anything you bring to them.  If it ever happens, my next boat will be another Procraft without a doubt. ~c~ ~c~ ~c~
