OK gang lets figure this one out!

Now 4000 is the magic number, minus 3627 total members right now, that equals 373 we will needed, with a average registrations per day of 3.13. So we will need 119 day to get that many and that figures out to be the 17 of March. Now you got to figure out since in the winter registration is higher then the summer registration, do to not being able to go fishing as much, you got the right date!

or you can do as I'm going to do and just guess!

The more members we get the more members we will get...

, So on a daily figure shouldn't our registration rise just a bit?

didnt we go thru this a couple weeks ago with someone coming in under a new name?? what are we gonna do to keep a repeat performance from happening??? guesses coming soon

It would probably be hard to do but each computer or whatever has it's own "IP" address. Maybe we can find out more about that.

This is the first contest (if I remember right ) that we have offered something to the new member. In the past the prize has always gone to the winner.

I added the stipulation that the new member has to make 25 posts before he/she can claim their prize. I also have a number of the member's addresses and names from the monthly contest so it will make it a little harder for one of our current members to try to sneak in under the radar. And then there is the IP address. Mary is right that all members are assigned an IP address but if they are on aol the IP addresses are assigned to the person when they log on depending on which IP address isn't being used (I think) and because of that, they can come in on many different IP addresses, but it is a start.

Just a little info for those of you that are going to participate in this contest:

The average number of registrations per day for last month and to date this month is right at 5.7 per day, that should make it a little more interesting

now we are at 3,780 Members minus lip posting of 3,683 member on the November 27 equals 16 days and 97 new members. so that is 6 new member a day and we need 220 more members, so 6 in to 220 equals 36 days or so. so now I'll place my guesses to bet you all to the prize!

We can read just fine, hand us a lake map and we will find the right spot to fish everytime we go out.

106 More new members to go to 4000!! 2 already today and it's not even 8AM EST....!!!
Over the last 3 months UB has been averaging 6 new members a day. That's pretty awesome.... Of course it also means all my guesses are off but It's just not that important, Hitting 4000 is!

sooooooooooooo since i had one guess wrong and dead and gone by does that mean i get another one?? what if the day isnt guessed or the hour is wrong/? did i miss anything??

Guess time is over...we just wait for the big day when the 4,000th member joins and we'll have a winner. We have had 17 of the guesses already pass but we have a bunch to go.
