Hi all,

Is there a way to remove the colour (color if you live in the states) of soft plastics?

I want to have a clear soft plastic that is currently coloured (light visable though it).....

ANy help appreciated!

Thanks
Pat

Leave em out in the sun. That always seems to work for me even if it's not what I'm trying to accomplish.

The early bird may get the worm, but it is the second mouse that gets the cheese.

You may want to contact some custom plastics guys Like our sponsor Doc Irv's Baits and ask him.

If you waterlog the baits, the color will fade out but not completely.

You could look on my site at the baits I have and e-mail me about the type of colors you would be looking at and I could send you a couple of samples, might have to have you help on shipping though if you are outside of US.

i do alot of custom plastics and let me tell you, you cant get clear worms unless you pour them yourself.  go to www.delmart.com  they have everything you need to make your own clear worms.

I went here and all I got was a search engine. Am I missing something?

Thanks, I'll be checking that sight out for sure  ;)

they are pretty good on prices and they have one helluva recipie book for colors.  their molds are good, but i use the home made kind with fiberglass resin.  i found that tutorial at www.tackleunderground.com

there are all kinds of things on that site.

Thanks for the replies guys!

Very helpful...

I want a 2" Berkley tournament grub in clear....

Doesn't sound like its possible (other than to pour your own)

Thanks again.

Just curious as to why you would want a totally clear bait? Seems to me it would be hard for a fish to see.

GotstaFish,

I want something that will look like a small prawn when fished along the surafce  ~shade ~shade

We have a species called bream here (Tasmania, Australia) that are generally targeted with soft plastics and small hard bodied lures. They are not all that aggressive but at times will take a surface lure  ~shade ~shade ~sun ~sun
