I hope that you enjoy the new board and visit often. I know that there have been a lot of changes to the site recently and I thank you all for being patient with me for such a drastic change.

Look forward to a lot of new additions to the board and it's contents. I would love to hear from you if there are things that you would like to see added or changed.

Hi everyone,

I am a new member who has been reading regularily. I am very impressed with the freedom of information that is shared on the site and hope i can contribute some of my experience. I mainly fish the parra/middle harbour using soft plastics for bass and perch at most of the popular haunts. Luringbass introduced this site to me.

Hope to catch u on the water soon

Hi all,
I'm lisa and im one of the few girls that take fishing seriously. Am i the only bass girl, on this site?? I'm sure theres at least one of my kind. Dan sent me this site, and hopefully i pick up sometips to improve my bass fishing. Hopefully I will be picking up my first boat this week and I can not say that I have done an enormous amount of fishing in the salt.

Welcome Aboard !

just happened by this afternoon while I was at work and noticed that Dan has been hard at work recruiting new members for our Fishing Reports. We are glad to have you and I hope that all of you enjoy the board and that you can teach us a thing or two...

I told Dan that if there was enough participation from Austrailia I would set up a board just for you so I will be adding that here soon.

An australian board sounds great!!! It'd be great to compare the different fishing conditions between US and AUS. How big do the bass grow up there???
Are hardbodied lures or softplastics better over there?

Forgot to mention that Dan told me this site!! :D

I'm rather new to the area and am curious about the fishing clubs in the area.  I've never been in a fihsing club but think I probably should considering I generally leave the lake "Skunked".  I've spent the last 6 years focusing on in-shore and off-shore fishing in the Florida panhandle.  I would have expected fishing for Redfish and Trout would be similar to bass but am finding that I may be wrong.

How do I get hooked up with the local clubs?

THanks for the info

Promaster,

We have two clubs in this area that are on this board a lot.  One is "The Club" and the other is the "Twin Cities Team Club".

The Club - this is a draw team format.  The meetings are the 2nd Sunday of each month at the Microtel in Bossier City (6:00 p.m.).  Teams for the next tournament are drawn at the meeting.  There are boaters and non-boaters.  The tournaments are the fourth Sunday of each month.

Twin Cities Team Club - this is a team format.  If you have someone that you normally fish with, then the two of you could fish this club.  There are no meetings and most everything is handled on this fishing reports board.  The tournaments are the first Sunday of each month.  Location for tournaments is voted on here on this web site.  If you are interested in this type club and don't have a regular partner, then you can probably hook up with someone by posting on the board.

I'm sure you will get more responses to your post.  Welcome to the area and good luck on the water.

Promaster welcome to the area.
As Mike Noble said we have two very succesful clubs that more or less call this site home. Both are competitive well run clubs, both have a mix of real good anglers and some young or less experienced anglers. If you are interested or have specific questions ask and we will try to help.

Promaster,
Welcome to the area & to the site.

If you are really interested in joining a club, you will not find a better bunch of guys in either one of the clubs based on this site.

Everyone is real helpful and readily give info & tips to help each other out if we need it!

Come fish with us & see what you think!!!

MotherNature

Jeff,
welcome to the board. There are several bass clubs in the area and I am sure that once you start asking around you will find that there are more than you might have thought. I wish you luck and if there is any help that we can provide just let us know. Mike and I fish quit a bit and there is usually a seat to be had in the boat when Mike is out fishing so just give him a call and I am sure he will hook you up.

Well shit!!
I have been fortunate to be a guest in the dopemans home and got to know his precious daughter and his sweet wife (boss). I think she will be a real asset to our club as well as the site. I LOOK FORWARD TO THE NEW ADDITIONS TO OUR CLUB.

Guys (and gals) You have no idea how great I think it is to have my best friend to fish with and now post with. Doc, don't take this wrong, I (I said I) have the greatest wife, She lets me fish, fishes with me, suggested the boat and layout of the boat, and is always surprising me with tackle and equipment. Those of you who have wives and girlfriends, by al means try to get them involved, they will enjoy it and so will you. I mean how great is it to be able to fish wit the one you love more often....................Dave the (blessed to have a great one) (still gimped up) Dope Man ;) ;) ;) ;)

If she suggested the boat....she has an awesome taste for boats! ;D

Not much longer before "the gimp" is the "on the road to recovery" dope man.
