My wife informed me that I need to find a life again. I was real active in Bass Fishing in the Mid eighties. I sold my boat and through myself into chasing quarters all over Florida.(coin laundry) Sold the company. I am now working for a major chemical company and loving it. I was ordered in December '03 to go buy a boat.  I guess I was driving her nuts. Well I bought a 170tf Nitro with and Evinrude 115 HP on EBAY, drove to TN to pick it up. It didn't need much work but I had to rip the 35# 12 volt tracker troller off and install a 74# 24 volt Minn Kota with dual onboard chargers, New set of tires, some letters.   I had my choice on any boat, this one fit nice in my garage so..... done deal, for a while. ;)

A need for speed took over. In June of 2004 SCwildBill turned me on to a 2004 Triton TR-21PD with a 225hp Optimax. This beauty has every bell and whistle you can think of, including a 36 volt 109# Motor Guide trolling motor. I dumped the MG for a Minn Kota 84#.

Now all I want to do is screw off. I've dumped all my effort and being into this boat and my re-found hobby. Since I have this new attitude, I am guessing I'll be out of the house and living under a bridge within 18 months. I can only hope that the bridge is over fresh water, with access to the Everglades and Okeechobee. 8)

DocIrv

If you don't know me then I guess I am not as famous as I thought I was. If you do know me, my condolences.  :roll2: Irv, here, I must have been one hell of an ugly baby! Can you just imagine looking down at a baby in a crib and saying something like, "Coootchy cootcy coo, Irving?!"  ::) I mean, come on, what baby is going to be adorable when they call him Irving?!  ::) So, I have spent the past 59 years trying to figure out why my parents did this to me. Still no answer. In my youthful time, which persists mentally for me nearly always, I persued many avocations, and even some women. Got gut hooked about 34 years ago by a great lady who obviously had not had much experience with men and who has been my bride since 1973. I spent the longest part of my career time being a chirpractor and just got fed up about six years ago and sold the practice so I could pursue my wannbe tournament bass fishing hobby. Boy, I am sure glad I did that because I am not getting any younger. I have two great kids, a son, Nathaniel, he is in the army and spent a year in Baghdad and should be going back some time next year. My daughter, Ariana, is in graduate school at the University of Delaware and is going to be married next July 8. Please send your contributions for her wedding asap!  :help: I fish a few time each week and when I am not fishing I am probably napping and dreaming about catching a bass which I seem not to be able to do when I am really fishing. I have a 98 Ranger 481VS with a 150 Intruder. I hope to repower up to a 175 high output ETec when it comes out one of these days. So, hello to all of you wild and crazy bassers, the ultimate fish.

FiveAlive

I'm FiveAlive...I live in Central Florida and have been here all my life. I've been fishin and bass fishin since I was knee high to a grass hopper...and still am. My dad passed it down to me and I plan to pass it down to my kids. I'm 14 soon to be 15 and have my own bass boat. A 16'2" Rebel with a 50 hp Force. As of right now I fish one club for teens and plan to get into a few more regular clubs. My dreams are to one day fish the FLW Tour and I plan to make it there. Tight Lines fellas!
Chasin' the dream.

AB

Well...Guess it is time for me to add my two cents in here....

I have lived in St Cloud on the Alligator chain of lakes all my 24 years of existance.  I was into fishing and boating at a very early age, my parents used to take me for a boat ride to put me to sleep as a baby.  I hated the car, but the boat was juuussstttt right.. lo  When I was a teen I started to really pay attention to the bass rigs running the lakes (and some of the other boats  >:D ).  I hung out with a bud and learned a great deal about Yamaha outboards and decided that I would have to have one one day.  He taught me how to drive a hi-per rig and how to do set-ups, etc...About 5 years ago I got the itch to get myself a boat.  I found a basket case 1988 Bullet 19V with a 115 Johnny with the right price.  I bought it and ran it for roughly a year, then tore into it.  New seats, carpet, some lids, little wood work, sanded the whole thing and clearcoated it, it looked (and still does) as cherry as the day it rolled out of the factory.  I also found a 175 Hammer that I put on the back, but I blew it up first run.  Had it rebuilt (didn't have time to do it myself) and got her back out.  Had a lot of fun with it, then decided to have a new trailer for it.  Nice Ameratrail trailer, really sets it off.  I fished hard and heavy for two years around that time, then got out of it.  Started hanging with some of the local hot boat gang and got away from fishing.  Now, I have moved my quest onto drag racing and I am setting it up accordingly.  I still like to fish once in a while, but as ol' WildBill will tell ya I ain't the worlds best fsherman. lo  Give me a steering wheel and I can drive the pad off of it, but haven't mastered that fishin stick yet.  Guess it requires me actually turning the big motor off once in a while. :roll2:

Mike Cork

Quite a story AB sounds like you definately paid your dues, now it is time to runnnnnnn, keep us posted on how many trophies you get. Also with all the experience you will be very useful in the boat ramp sections, we are always looking for good motor advise over there ;)

I have been married for 9 years and we have a 11 month old little girl who has me wrapped around her little pinky ~shhh and a wonderful 15 year old step daughter with straight A's ~c~. Gotta brag a little ~shhh

I started seriously bass fishing about 2 years ago when I met Triton1A and he got me in his local bass club. That was the first time ever in a Bass Boat with T1A and I was hooked ;D. Then I met Wildbill, started hanging out with them and then the SCGang grew larger and started fishing with a bunch of them like BigCheese, Hardcore and SupplyGuy. I just became a sponge while fishing with them and started learning different techniques and I started catching fish, what a concept ~roflmao. Started doing some local "T"s and having fun and that brings me here. 8)

I currently do not have a BIG boat but I do have the BASSN8R lo.  Looking forward to having good times with people here.

I was introdiced into fishing and Hunting by my dad at age 6. From there I just fished every chance I had until I purchased my first bass boat at 16. That is when I fished my first Tx ever, and Have been hooked since that day. My only regret is never getting the chance to fish with my Grandpa, He died before I was born, but to hear my dad talk about the times they went and the good stories, I sure wish I could of fished just 1 time with him. I was a Technician all of my life since the day I was old enough to drive. I figured out early in life that if you want something you had to earn it. So Job = money and that = bass boat ;D Well I am now Permanently Disabled... Had a brain tumor removed this year, but I am still here to enjoy my family and fish once in a while. ohhhhh I have a 2000 Blazer Bass boat with a Vmax 225 on it, so anytime someone is in my area I would be more then happy to show them around. Tight Lines everyone. :)

Mike Noble

Thanks for sharing your information blazr21.  I would love to get down to your area again and this time get to do some fishing.  My daughter lives in Jacksonville (works for Dave and Busters), so I need to come visit her one day.  I was there in March 2004 when my son lived in Orange Park.  Looks like some excellent fishing in that area.

Blake R.

I am Blake Rutherford, and I am typing this for the second time; my comp froze the first time. I am 16, a sophomore in Highschool. I live in Pace, Fl which is within spittin' distance of Pensacola. I work pretty hard in school, and get decent grades, A-B usually. I have fished and hunted since as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest recollections are of fishing and hunting with my dad and other family members. I  lived with my mom and dad up until this last February. At this point in time, my mother (who was 42) passed away from cancer. Since then, I have just tried to stay focused, and done pretty well at it. OK, well I am tirws of saying "I" and "me" ~shade

My bait is bigger than your bass!

Welcome to the site Blake I am glad that you decided to poke your head in over here. Make yourself at home and just let us know if you need anything ;)
