little gator Welcome aboard, we are excited to have you sign up ~c~ I seen your post on Guntersville looks like you had a good time after the weather settled down.

I know what you mean about cranky lo I get that all the time ;) A good day on the water fixes it right up though. Hopefully you find the site useful and I am looking forward to chatting with you about your area and patterns that work over that way.

Do you belong to a club?

No,  I don't right now.  I want to get back on the lakes and practice up before I join again.  I have fished the Red Man trail when it was around.  I also fished Anglers Choice for a year.  I have found a club ( Fishers of Men ) that I think will be pretty good.  I hope to join next year!!

Mike Cork

Cool, I completely understand about getting into it first. Keep us posted on it goes. We have the Fishers of Men around here as well, they seem like a great organization ~c~

Woohoo, my first post here!  Well, I'm your average weekend angler here in Central IL.  A good friend of mine TimTool got me "hooked" on this site and so far I love it.  Been fishing since I could walk, grew up mainly as a flyfisherman around most of the farm ponds here around Lake Shelbyville, and did alot of bass fishing on the lake as well.  Plenty of life's little things tend to keep me away from one of my favorite hobbies, but hopefully that will change soon.  Can't wait to get to know some of you more and get some good tips along the way too.   ;)

Mike Cork

Inspired welcome aboard  ~c~ Tim Tool is a great member to the site with lots of great information, looking forward to getting to know you too. We have a lot of great folks on the site and the information, well it is flowing very well. Don't be afraid to post away, ask questions and please give you inputs on the topics we already have going  ~c~ Get all those little things in life (that we all know to well) cleared up, you all will be thawed out soon and the fishing will be on. Again welcome aboard and we are all looking forward to getting to know you and post with you ~c~

Congrats on your first post, 4 more and you qualify for the new member contest. Be sure to check out the Ultimate Bass contest threads and get entered and don't miss out tomorrow night when we have our weekly contest ~c~

I'm Alayna, Tim Tool's daughter actually. I'm from Illinois, same as him. Kind of obvious. I'm 16, almost seventeen and I like to go fishing with my dad. I'm really impatient, and I'm not really good with standing in the boat, but I out fish him most of the time. I hope to get my fishing license this year and do a lot more fishing with him so I can share our stories.
:)

Da FISHINKING

Toolgirl that is great to hear that you still enjoy going out fishing and spending time with your dad  ~c~. We look forward to reading your reports from your ventures.

jtexas

Greetings,
My name is John and I am a bassaholic.

I've been married to my first wife for 22 years and counting.  Been fishing for closer to 40 years, but only just got my first boat a couple years ago, a 1980 vintage Kingfisher, a gift from my dad.  I'm a pretty determined do-it-yourselfer;  what I lack in skill and knowlege, I make up for in aspirin and bandaids.   ;D  So now I've added "outboard motor mechanic", "fiberglass repairman" & "marine electrician" to my list of occupations.

My teenage daughters have become too interested in other things (specifically, boys), but Dusty, my big yella hound will always go fishing with me even when nobody else will.  My sister has two boys, 7 and 8, whose dad don't fish - looks like I got my work cut out for me.   :)

Confession time:  I've gone over to the dark side.  That's right, I've given in to lure of fast action and easy limits of white bass, hybrids & the occasional striper trip.  It's not my fault - I grew up catching bass from jonboats on the natural lakes of Louisiana;  when I moved to the DFW area & finally got a boat, I felt lost on these big-water reservoirs.  Total loss of confidence.  Got tired of getting skunked.  It's not too late, though, I still have a big bag full of bass lures, and can't resist adding to the collection.

But now that I've mastered sandbass fishing, I'm looking for more of a challenge.  So, I'm more or less hunting for tips & tricks, whatever support I can get.  You got to feed the beast!

thanks,
jtw
I ain't fishing any more.
But I ain't fishing any less.
