Hi all!!   I'm Fishergal, and I am new to Bass Fishing.  I have trout fished all my life, but just recently moved to an area where Bass, crappie, catfish and the like are king.    Just last weekend, on a camping trip, I discovered the joys of Bass fishing!!   I love it!  I wanted to find a place where I could get some pointers and possibly find the best places to fish for bass in my area.

Hello everyone!  Here's a little info about myself???  I am from east Tenn where we have some of the best bass fishing lakes around.  I have been fishing since before I could walk.  My dad got me involved in bass fishing right from the get-go.  I'm  33 and I live to BASS FISH.  I've been on a little break for the last 4 years.  I've been enjoying the married life and my beautiful little girl!  My wife wants me to start fishing again, she said I'm cranky?  I have started getting back to serious fishing and look forward to talking and hearing from all the UB members.

my name is mike im 26 from westchester il ,im a die hard bass fisherman with little time to fish b/c i have a 2 yr old son who is a handfull.i've been plannin a fishing trip to lake fork for 3 weeks now and hopefully it falls through.

First off want to say, what a a great site.  My name is Rob and I'm 42 and I live in the dreaded Los Angeles area I am married to a wonderful woman named DeeDee who can't understand my compulsion to fish.

fished as a kid and then gave it up with military, job and young kids. Started fishing again about 10 years ago with a co-worker from Tenn. who revived my fever. then I moved to Dallas where I was able to feed the fever every weekend. Tx fishing was totally different than the finesse fishing I had grown used to. Trees, weeds and bigger fish snapped my puny 6 lb test quicky.

moved back here to L.A. around 2 years ago and haven't been able to get out much.   I'm starting to go crazy and will start to fish again.  going next weekend (finally).  hard to do in the area without a boat, but I go when I can get a back seat.  Trying to convince my better half to invest in a boat.

been browsing forums for years and after an hour here, I finally found one I want to join so here I am.

I consider myself a higher end novice here in CA and have fished Casitas, Castaic, Perris and Diamond Valley.  Trying to get down to San Diego to try those lake.

Will be probably asking a lot of questions, so bear with me.

rchapp you will find a lot of great information here, you should hook up with Da Fishinking, he is from southern Cal and will have alot of good information for you. I fished out west for many years, but now I am stationed in Louisiana and love it. Looking forward to talking fishing with you. I know exactly what you are talking about with the line issue , had that same problem when I moved here missed out on several good fish because of it

I'm Big Mac from California. I live in Santa Rosa which is in the north end of the state. The little lake that is across town from me is Spring Lake, that is where the two latest claims for the world's record LM bass came from. I am retired (against my wishes ) medically from the Sheriff's dept. I have been fishing since my brother and I were able to ride the buses alone in SF and go to Golden Gate park to fish. That is almost 40 years. I have a 8 year old granddaughter and she fishes with me whenever school lets her. Her first rod and reel were waiting for her on the day she was born. The day after she was home from the hospital, I had her in wal-mart trying to get her to say "spinnerbait". She caught her first fish (a smallmouth) at the age of 2 yrs and 3 months , cast out and brought it in by herself. She's my baby .
