tcba1987 Sounds like you are in my boat  ~c~ My wonderful wife of 14 years loves fishing so much she made this site ;) Glad to have you on the forum and look forward to chatting with you about fishing, and reading some fishing reports from your local waters. We have quite a few members from Ohio, they are still complaining about the hard water though lo

I am from Clayton, North Carolina, and up until recently i had just been fishing recreationaly as well as open tournaments at falls, jordan, and harris lakes.  I am just now starting to break out into more national circuits, and i am starting to work with sponsors.  I really enjoy this site, and i like working and talking with the people on it.  I believe this is a great tool for me as i get started in the national circuits working my way up as a pro.  I hope to see this site grow for a long time to come, and to all, tight lines.

Thanks, Richard Cooper

Mike Cork

Richard Cooper glad to have you on the site. I am looking forward to hearing about your trials and tribulations along the way of going national. Hopefully, you will learn something useful from all these folks. One thing for sure is you now have a lot of friends around the world to help you out if you are ever in their town  ;) Keep us posted on your endevours, I think it would be a great learning experience for everyone  ~c~

Just wanted to say "howdy". So...Howdy!

lo

Figured i'd post my greetin's here, as DAWG so kindly laid out that link.  :)

I'm from southwestern Ohio. My mom and dad run a Tuesday night club tournament on a local reservoir, Ceasers Creek Lake. Not a bad little puddle, but very hard to fish due to the huge amount of weekend boat traffic. They run from the second Tuesday of April through the middle of October, weather dictating.

I'm currently on active duty with the Ohio Army National Guard and as soon as my current tour ends, i'll probably be looking for full-time employment...most likely going back in the regular Army on active duty. Hopefully this will provide a means to move to a better bass fishing area!

Me and my girlfriend bass fish every chance we get, and we recently bought a 1993 ProCraft. Not a bad little boat, but nothing compared to mom and dad's 2003 TR18 Triton.  :-[

Friday we're heading to central Florida to visit some of her family and fish. We went down there in August and spent a week fishing the Dora Canal area between Lake Eustis and Lake Dora. It was hot as all blazes that week, with storms every day. High water temperature and stained water, combined with the storms and heat made for a slow week. We caught a fair amount of fish every day with *ahem* her catching at least one over six every day.

Hopefully this trip will be a little faster for *ahem* me...as she kicked my croquet ball way up in the weeds last trip!

If anyone can toss me some info about the current conditions in that area right now, i'd greatly appreciate it!

I'll chime in soon with pics of fish...wish us luck!  ;D

The fish I was catching all last trip...

The fish SHE was catching all last trip...

I hate to admit it, but she was kicking my butt so bad that week that by Friday i stole all her black Zoom Horny Toads and hid them.  ~shhh

lo

Didn't matter though. She switched to black 10" Bassin Assassin worms and kept right on slammin' 'em.  :shocking:  lo

Well lessee,  I'm 25 years old, have been married for 4 years on April 14th (I write, say, or type this date any time I get a chance so I won't forget) to the best woman any man could hope for, I have 2 children: boy - 5yrs, girl - 3yrs, I'm a welder by trade, and if they took away my hunting privileges...we would have to talk about it.  BUT IF THEY TRY TO SAY THAT I CAN'T FISH ANYMORE, SOMEBODY'S GONNA GET THRASHED!!!!!!!!  I live in North Louisiana around the thriving metropolis of the Farmerville area.  ( Don't want to get too specific...might have a stalker or somethin')
My wife and I are both originally from Lafayette, LA.  I moved up here with my mother about 15 or 16 years ago and love it.  It is truly the "Sportsman's Paradise".  I fish as much as I possibly can.  Just got serious about it a couple of years ago and started fishing some local tournaments.  I hope to graduate into some bigger tournaments very soon.  That about sums it up for me....God, family, fish, work....yep, that's it!
