Ok OHFishing... is the Cobalt a car or truck?  Sounds like a car. :-\

Even if you've been fishing for 3 hours
and haven't gotten anything except
poison ivy and a sunburn,
you're still better off than the worm.

OHbassaholic

I am looking forward to checking that Cobalt out, OHfishing.  We are a Chevy family too with an Astro AWD and a nasty old Cavalier (POS).  I've been after my wife for several years to get rid of the thing but she really enjoys us not having any car payments...  It's finally time!

Terrydabassman

Hi, my name is Terry Clark, from Wheeling WV. 56 years young. Been married to my beautiful bride and high school sweetheart for 37 years. We have 2 boys and a girl Terry II Tim and Carrie, all grown and out on their own and we have 4 grandchildren.
I've done allot of things to make a living, a meat cutter, truck driver, sewing machine vacuum cleaner salesman-repairman, then into the food service and became a chef. I worked for Travel Centers of America for almost 14 years. I've developed several recipes that are still used nationally and enjoyed giving our customers the absolute best home cooked meal and Buffet anywhere. I even had a write up in a national magazine.
I've always had the fishing bug, as long as I can remember. My sons live in Tampa now and they too are avid bass fisherman.
I've recently (15 months ago) had to retire due to heath issues and desperately needed something to do with all the hours in my day. I was always good at art, painting, drawing, etc. I also used to paint all the fish that came into my brother I laws Taxidermy shop till he got brave enough to do it on his own.
Then found Tackleunderground and all the tutorials on making crank baits I thought "heck, I could do that" and that's how I got started lure making and custom lure painting. I had a free site page on geocities but too many people were not able to see my work due to only so much traffic is allowed on a free site page. So, that is how and why TClarkCustomLures.com was born and I love every minute of it.
I've made so many life long friends through these forums, I'm a blessed man.
I'm a Christian and ministered in music with our praise team at church for 9 years. I played bass guitar and during this time we made 2 live recordings and are on CD. I always thanked God for that opportunity cause no matter what else could happen in my life, I would've left "something" behind and that was praising God through music, I'm still so honored to have been blessed enough to have been a part of that.

WoW! Just read thru " Tell us about yourself" forum.. Some really neat and diverse folks on the board with at least one common interest.

My name is Jim and I live in Ft Meade, Fl. Right in the middle of fishing country. Seventy miles to either coast and Lake Kissimmee to my northeast and the THE " Big O" to my south. It doesn't get any better than this if you like to fish. I get up in the morning and think to my self, where am I going to fish today?  I'm 60 years young and retired. I was a computer programmer for too many years. I am married to a great lady who is still working three days a week but loves to fish. We fish together every day that she is not working or if I have a tournament. She doesn't mind me fishing tournaments but doesn't care for them herself.  I fish every day that the weather ~rain permits...it's a tough life but somebody's got to do it. I never thought retirement :) could be this much fun. I fish a tournament about once per month with one of my other fishing partners. I own a Triton TR21 bass boat  ~c~ and love it. It works great on these big lakes when they get rough.

I lived in south Florida from 1975-1986 and could only fish week-ends when weather or work :'( permitted. Moved to Colorado, short stay.. 2 years and then on to the Hudson Valley of New York. Never had time  >:( to fish there. Did I really just say that? No time to fish??? What's that guys name...Ranger?  :help:  You gotta have time to fish...Nothing else really counts...Now I'm back in Florida and will never leave again..I still go to Georgia and Alabama once in a while to fish there.

I recently started collecting old Heddon lures. Super hobby...

Looking forward to interacting with you folks and sharing experieces..

My biggest bass to date is a 13lb 6 oz hawg caught on a plastic worm in Blue Cypress Lake here in Florida.  BTW..My wife's first bass ever caught weighed in a 10lbs even in the Lake Okeechobee. You think she wasn't hooked for life? Gospel..

Welcome to the family Jim! One thing is for sure--We all have a love for fishing.

Be sure to drop by the Florida section after your trips and let us know how you did. If a lake isn't listed--just add it! Simple as that...

If you have any questions...just ask!

Mike Noble

Thanks for the information dusterjim.  It is so great learning the story behind our members.  We are happy to have you in our family.

Well, she hasn't really gone a lot in the past, BUT we are getting ready to start a couples deal in the Central Louisiana area, probably around the Natchitoches and Alexandria area lakes. Any close by can contact me for more info. I guess she'll have to go on those trips........ >:D

Jitterbug

Alright, I'm a member of the Bassassassins club, just joined this last month in Jan., a fine club, with some good people in it, I live in Stonewall, La. and have lived just about everywhere eales around these parts. I've fished just about every public body of water in northwest Louisiana at one time or another including some farm ponds, creeks, and a few mud holes. I belong to a beautiful wife of whom lets me think that I run the household and every now and then brings me back to reality. I have a 2000 Javelin Renagade 20 with a 225HO Johnson, this is my primary rig among 3 other secondarys. I fish with a partner, he just signed on to this site this morning, he is Skipjack. I love to fish folks and hope to see yall on the water some. God Bless.

dusterjim you have it made like I am sure all of us hope to one day  ;) We will be looking forward to reading about some of the fantastic fishing you enjoy down there. I hear the huricanes from last summer still have some of the fishing a little messed up. Hope it settles back to normal by spring.

Jitterbug Welcome aboard  ~c~  I see your partner signed on. We will be looking forward to trading local techniques with you over the coming months. I hope your club takes full advantage of the forums here at Ultimate Bass.

wow  tough group to follow... here goes
my name is john...(hi John) and i too have a problem i am on the ninth step in the 12 step program...which is "accepting the fact that i can't own every lure there is". no really im 32 years old and a stay at home dad and i love it.  my buddies tease me about it, but while they're paying hundreds of dollars a month on daycare, i'm spending that same money on fishing equip.,boat, entry fees, etc... I have thee best wife that i've ever heard of...she has a wonderful job that allows me not to work...and be with my kids, which are 5 and 2. I fish and hunt way to much but i'm o.k. with that...Ifish around 15-20 tournaments a year. As well as fun fish every chance I get. I own a 2003 ranger 519 w/ a 200 optimax. I have had the great fortune of learning the art of bass fishing from a person who is well recognized nationally... I belong to a great club called second city bass anglers. I have fished the BFL and the ABA. I definately have a problem of buying way to much tackle but have learned to live with and embrace problem. My wife has called all tackle stores within a 50 mile radius and told them my name and told them I have a 20$ limit.  i'm gonna stop there cause my hands are cramping up and I don't want them to hurt tomorrow cause i'm going fishing for the first time this year. great times ahead.

johnq1   :roll2: I have fallen off that same 12 step program 3 times now :roll2: I like you have conceded that I can't beat it  ;)

My name is greenkeeperlt and I'm a fishaholic...I am 39 yrs old and now live in Wisconsin. I moved here from California so the fishing is quite different here and it is taking more time than I like to adapt. I have been reading these post for awhile as a guest and finally decided to get involved and see if any of you could help me answer some questions I have about catching bass in the frozen tundra.
I look forward to getting to know you all and share what I can about the best sport I have ever participated in, Bass Fishing!
