So I recently bought a new Nitro. Just the low end 640lx, my wallet (or marriage) was not prepared for a 40,000 'toy' (as the wife refers to it). Nevertheless, when I first started looking at Nitros I spoke to one of the regional sales rep about getting a deal. I offered to let Nitro or Tracker Marine do a vinyl wrap on my truck in excahnge for a deep discount. He did some checking and they said yes, with some catches: First and foremost the only boat they were willing to do this on was the 911CDC. Second, my truck needed to meet some of their requirements. Less than two years old and needed to be excellent condition. And lastly, they needed to know how frequently I drove (distances, frequency, etc). Especially hauling the boat. Now for the kicker. They would keep the wrap on the truck for 18 months in exchange for a 9,000.00 discount (and they would still honor any specials/rebates). If I could show that I fished tournaments outside of local club events they would take off another 1,000.00.

So 9-10,000 off is a huge savings just to have the tow vehicle vinyl wrapped in a product your gonna support anyway.

I met all of their 'requirements' but the wife wasnt having it. The money was foremost and then she didnt want my 'pretty' truck to be wrapped in a billboard and sit in the driveway. I dont sound bitter do I?  :)

Call into Springfield and they will get you lined up with a rep. The person I dealt with (Im not gonna mention names) wasnt to happy that I wasted his time by jumping down to a 640. So do everyone a favor and be serious when you make that call.

So who was going to pay for the wrap, you or Nirto?

Nitro was covering that. We never did get far enough into it for me to see designs and if I would have any input on it.

well that makes it even better, a wrap can run over $3,000.00
