Just curious as to what some of the different paint folks have used to include the ones that didn't work? Thinking about playing with this and just don't want to repeat others attempts that didn't work.

I use powder paint for the base and if I need to make 2 tone of eyes I will use vinyl paint over the top. Powder holds up the best if you bake it at 350 for 20 minutes. I have been playing around with mixing powders to create custom colors and have had great success. I have a junebug thats awesome! Purple as the base and candy apple green (Tranparent green) as the 2nd coat. I think I sent Fogy some with custom paint, not sure if your by him or not.

Powder paints about the best and lasts the longest. Spray paoints good if you snag and break off a lot.

I know guys that can go thru a bag of weights in a Tournament.  lo

We know what your line sounds like when ya snap it.  :'(

What do ya think it sounds like under water.   ~shade

I use vinyl paint to paint weights, buzzbaits, spinnerbaits, and jigs. Only tip I can give about panting worm weights, and you probably know it already, is to push toothpicks in the holes to keep paint out.  One thing I have started doing, instead of using clear for a coating, I use a two part epoxy. Makes a very durable paint job. And you can mix flake in the epoxy if you like it.

i just started using herbies magic dust.  It takes a few weights but it looks pretty good.  Dont be like me and get the junebug or red bug etc..... Get a solid color to begin with and some glitter.  Use a lighter heat it for 6 sec dip it in the dust, swirl it for a sec, then take it out and run the lighter over it.  Make sure you keep the wieght in the blue flame.

I use the Spike It Jig-n-Coat. You can get it at BPS for like $5 a color. I just stick with the traditional black for confidence reasons.
