Black Bayou - Benton Bass Fishing Reports

Fished B/B yesterday from 5pm till 8:30 ended up with 5 but only one was a under keeper the rest didnt make 11in... from 8:10- 8:30 had 4 bites with the keeper. looks like this maybe the lowest weight tourny yet.

Terry and I are tired of coming in last. we will be bringing a 15lb stringer tonight. if nobody has found our cage on the north end under the bridge. so tonight we will be taking a check....

Fished BB yesterday evening from 5:00-8:30. Caught one over, missed 3 other bites (too impatient). I'll be curious to see what wins tonight and where they were caught. Saturday night looks like it'll be a looooonnnnnggggg one.

On an better note, I did run into Papa and somebody that kinda looked like Trey

. Had a nice chat about how the fishing really

Terry and I fished the TCTC tourny last night and we got skunked.

we caught 6 fish 3 were 16 to 16 1/2 rest were dinks. we caught our fish on 8in red shad worms, brushhogs, spinnerbaits, we fished from one end to the other, not sure what we could have done different but thats the way it goes. the only good thing that happen was we fished a dock that people were partying on and they gave us some beer.

so we visited with them for a few minutes and that was the most exciting part of the night. so moving on congrats to Geo and Rhonda

Fished the TCTC also, tough bite. I had a 16.5 on the first dock we fished, she hit a Kudzu brush hog, then the next bite was right at dark on a Rico's and it was 11.5. Then nothing until about 10 PM when I caught a 17 incher on a deeper dock on a Micro Munch Platypus in June Bug. Wooo Hiooo we have a way fish now. Then that was it. Laurie caught to bream on a Rico's before the sun went down. Looking forward to the next one now matter where it might be $:-\$

Kermit and I fished the TCTC last night and it was sloooowww. We caught 5 fish and weighed two; 1 dink, 1 under, 2 slots, and 1 over (3.55lb), and missed three or four. Caught some on a red Wobble Head, one on an Exude 10in worm and missed some on a Berkley Power Worm (my fault). Got all our fish before dark, nothing after. Found them on points with deeper water and docks. We took second and big bass

Fished Black Bayou last night in the TCTC. Only put one fish in the boat...an under. Only bites I had were on a worm...tequila green flake. Very slow night.

We caught a fair amount of fish (7 or 8 ).Most came on a chrome and blue rattletrap.I think we cuaght 4 shorts and three or four slots. The bigger fish did come on Texas rigged baby brush hogs though. The lake is so much better at full pool. The good fish have pulled out and are suspended and the fishing isnt anywhere close to what it should be. I probably wont fish anymore of the Friday night tourneys this year unless we fish Cypress. Black Bayou is worthless right now unless you want schoolers. Wish we would have chased them more now. $:-\$

Trey and I fished also.
We caught 6 or 7 bass with only 2 weigh fish.
Weigh fish and a couple of slots came on a white 4 inch charlie, a couple more slots came on a Cavitron buzz bait.
One good thing, I caught my first night time fish in over 20 years

Looking forward to next month and Bistineau

Oh I forgot to congratulate Geo and Rhonda. I'm glad to see somebody had an idea what to do out there. I guess I'll never complain about Cross again. Yeah like that's going to happen. You might see me on the water.

Well me and kennyp fished the TCTC. I caught one at 1745 on a c-rig junebug brushhog in 2' of water on a bare bank. 16'' slot and that was it for the rest of the night. Congrats to Geo and Rhonda!
