Fished yesterday from about 11am til around 4pm. without even a bite!  Tried deep brush, points, flats, deep docks, shallow docks...Everything I could think of!

Talked to a guy at the launch when we were wiping down the boat. He had only been out 2 1/2 hours & caught 4 & missed about 10 fish because he was too busy trying to control the boat in the waves on the main lake. Now I have an excuse to hit BassPro cause I don't have the right color!

I caught three Saturday morning up there, one on a deep diving crank and the other two on worms (junebug and red shad).  Had a few other bites, but didn't land them.  Nothing to brag about.  All three would have been keepers, but none would have topped 2 lbs.   Never got a bite on any topwaters, frogs, spinnerbaits or rattletraps, but it wasn't because I didn't try.

Fished from about 2 to about 5. Boat traffic was absolutely amazing, didn't realize you could put so many pleasure boats on such a small body of water

You actually believe what he tells you ? Youre my teammate ...He sure the h*ll wont leak any information this way ...Believe me , he would love to see us blank Saturday AND FRIDAY for that matter.... Mike quit sending good info this way when we went to Grand Bayou and caught the 7 and 8 pounders in his favorite little hole that he shouldnt have told me about. Well, and not to mention we did win the tournament in that same general area. By the way, did I ever thank you for that info Mike?

Went to Black Bayou today and fished from 5 til dark and we managed 8 fish off VISIBLE STRUCTURE early on .Didnt get any bites as it got later . We were using small creature baits . No big fish -all unders and some shorts.Water temp was 94 and stained . Lots of suspended fish out in deeper water .Didnt catch any of em but will go back tomorrow evening with the proper lures to try.

I did find a nice tackle box full of baits crashing against the rocks, had to wade in after it because the water was so shallow. Guy had a telephone number on the back so I called him. Now is the weird part, turned out to belong to Vicki's first cousin who is also a lake patrol officer and lives on Black Bayou. Small world isn't it.

Got out yesterday from 5-830. We caught five on five different lures, 4 unders & 1 slot. Saw lots of suspended fish on the graph, only one taker. We caught 4 of the five off visible structure also.

Fished Black Bayou again from 4pm to 8pm today and fished deep , shallow and everywhere in between . Threw a dropshot ,carolina rig ,crankbait ,Texas rig and I EVEN THREW A SPINNERBAIT on a windy bank (I never throw a spinnerbait..........). Ended up with three slots ..........Gonna be two tough tourneys this weekend.
I took my 9 yr old son again ,he didnt get bit but he fished his butt off and even got mad when we had to leave.. He wanted to stay until midnight. Gotta love it when your kid gets in to fishing that much....

I have seen some of our fellow club members prefishing both days that I was out there. Good to see our folks working hard to find fish . The lake is pretty brutal right now . Im trying things that worked great a couple of years ago but the fish just aint down with it. Hopefully the fish will kick on out there.
