New 5 Star Rating System - Product Review

We have just added a new 5 Star Product Review System that will allow you to add your favorite products to a review right here on Ultimate Bass. If you have a sponsor, this would be a great place to add their products for review.

Below are some tips on the use of the review system, please read them before adding products.

1. Everything is moderated so when a product or new review is added it must first be verified and then published. That will help us keep things on the level and avoid multiple reviews by the same person for one product just to boost it's ratings.
     a. All products that are entered in good taste will be published provided they are bass fishing products, and have all the necessary information (see below).

2. I think that the information on the product should be factual and just list specifications like I posted in the review of Legend Boats.

3. Each member can add their own review of the product and that is where you can add your own personal thoughts about the products and what you liked about it.

4. To add an item to be reviewed you have to go to the specific category in the list where that product would be listed. Once there you will find a link at the top to add a new item.

    a. Add your contact info, the product information and any pictures. The word abstract is used for the intro portion of the product information. The check box to include the first image in the abstract is to have it listed next to the intro when all products from that category are listed.

     b. Please include the following information with your review: Address, Phone Number, Fax number if available, Email Address if available, as well as web site address.

     c. Fill in all information and click submit. The review will be validated and then published.

Feel free to add your favorite products to the review area. I will be adding some information to the pages but you are welcome to check it out and add products. If you need to see an example, just click on boats and look at the legend review. It has the Location (Address) and the Contact Info (Email phone fax) and the website address... Then some information that I got out of their brochure.

I will try to format all reviews in a similar manor so that it is easy to understand.

On this one, say you want to do a review of a BPS product, would the web site address be sufficient, since there are so many locations available.  Say the link to BPS, or the link to the area you purchase the reel?

I think the site should be sufficiant, you might check to see if you can find a customer service email or something like that. I will do a little work and find the address

It is actually pretty easy to add the different categories... now all we have to do is get everyone to add their favorite products to it 

Of course we will be adding our sponsors banners and ads to the pages that their products are on so that they can get a little extra coverage

For everyone that reads this please take 5 minutes to add a product. It really is easy to do! You all have several things in your boat or tackle box that you use and could add to the product reviews.

Just go to the category, click on the add item link at the top and fill in the blanks. Before you submit the product click on the tick box to Add author ratings and comments after submit and you will be prompted to add your review.

We spend a lot of time trying to add things to the site that the everyday angler can use and I think that this could really be a positive addition to the site if the members help us out and add their favorite products. It is also a great way to show your appreciation to your sponsors, by adding their product and a positive review.

This site is getting an average of 7,411,426 hits per month - most any sponsor would be happy to be getting a few of those

If you don't feel comfortable adding the products you are welcome to send them to me and I can add them to the site so that others can review them and I will add your name as the submitter
