I was wondering if anybody else who uses mono or fluoro and spare spools will soak again briefly before use as i just swapped to the spare and despite the soaking the line when i respooled several months ago noticed the memory seemed to come back a bit the other day  also was wondering if anybody seemed to have it come back when fishing in cold temperatures

(In terms of a spare spool when one gets low i swap to the next and refill as soon as i get the chance and the cycle repeats)

It happens on a spinning reel. Either tie it to a fence post and stretch it or give it a shot of reel snot or some other conditioner.
The permanent cure is braid to a leader of your choice.

I use braid on my other rods

I topshot fluorocarbon on this set up because i know usually something
happens where i break off and it is faster then retying leaders plus i usually do end up getting snagged at least once or twice

I will definitely try the conditioner

Do you think i should spray the spare a couple times through out the few months it is on standby as well as stretching

I do not soak my spools, however I do use KVD Line and Lure religiously on my spinning reels and baitcasting reels and it seems to help smooth out the coils.
