Greetings to everyone

:toot:  Here we are Spring Time March 2025 and Daylight Saving Time will begin shortly  ~c~   More time on the water and warmer temps  ~shade

The skies across Central Texas couldn't be anymore BLUER than it is today ~sun   The temps for today forecast was 47/82dgrs with 32% humidity with a S wind @ 6mphs.

Nothing happening around here today except Post Op Prostate Biopsy procedure recovery that was done yesterday.  If you haven't had this done before the only thing that sux IMO is the prep work.  You have to do a Fleet Emma a couple hours prior to the surgery.  The actual procedure once they hook everything up to you and you sign all the medical forms only took about 45minutes.

They briefed me everything went as planned.  For the next 3-10 days there will be some blood in my urine  :surrender:   They gave me some medication Cipro 500mg to take for the next 3 days.  There's no pain or discomfort as of yet.  My results should be ready for review in a couple weeks.  I'll be looking for some good news  ~shade

Dwayne is making some improvement in some areas and other areas not.  Gail is making plans to move into Dwayne's apartment here today.  Rehab is going to occur at another hospital there in Anchorage.  She took a tour of the hospital yesterday.  She was pleased with what she saw and briefed on.  I did an UPDATE in Dock Talk.

Alrighty, yawl have a really pleasant and safe weekend ahead.  Be mindful of your surroundings while out and about.

Welcome to March and to everyone thanks again for all the prayers for Dwayne and my family.

Hanging in there, trying to sneak some fishing in as well. Been targeting some peacocks and ha e now had 2 hard lures crushed by them a 6th Sense Scrambler and now an Ark Rods LP-38 lipless crank. Also ditched the PowerPro and switched back to full mono on everything.

Good morning Don!  That doesn't sound like anything to look forward too. :shocking:  I continue to keep Dwayne, you, and the Mrs. in my prayers.

Tops, I'm kinda glad to see TT return too, I just hope they keep on working.

We're getting some teasing days and some freezing days. Thursday and Friday were awesome, temps near 61°, Saturday and Sunday we were back in the fridge, Monday morning started out 17° but we made it to 47°. Some folks are starting to test the waters and a few are catching some small ones. Another couple weeks and I should be out there.

Roller coaster weather pattern continues here at the beach.  Things are still very dry and wild fires are in many places around Myrtle Beach.  Here on the coast not a problem but just inland towards Conway the fires have been ongoing for the past 4 days.  For the most part they are under control but wind conditions are causing some hot spots to flare up from time to time.  Rain is moving in tomorrow afternoon and should help the fire situation a bit.  The community where the fires are located is called Carolina Forrest.  So far the first responders are doing their usual excellent jobs in taking care of this problem.

The wife and I are continuing our medical issues.  She goes in for more testing tomorrow and has some out patient surgery planned for Monday.  I have an appointment today to hopefully get some meds to help with a flare up of bronchitis.  It seems like this stuff never stops for os old folks.  The good news is that as far as we know no major issues have been found but a lot depends upon the wife's tests and surgery coming up during the next days ahead.  We just gotta keep on keeping on for now.

Good morning to all,

Another beautiful day here in Central Texas.  Yesterday we had nothing but severe High Wind Warnings.  It was pretty dangerous being outside here.

Forecast for today is 46-75dgrs with 31% Humidity and NE wind @ 13mphs. We're still forecasted to have some sunny and warm weather here for the next 10 days.

Dwayne is making small improvements daily.  They planning on adding a feeding tube to him later on today.  The brain swelling continues to go down.  I'll be really glad when they reattach that FLAP and his Skull back to his head.  My wife is continuing to be strong in dealing with this issue.  Guys can't say Thank You enough for the prayers.

Bud; Tks for stopping by buddy.  I saw those wild fires there.  Of course the News just said Myrtle Beach and I got to wondering about you and your family.  First though was the dang city is on fire  :-\  Hope you and your wife get to feeling better.  Best wishes and prayers for the upcoming Out Patient Surgery.

Jim; Tks for the prayers buddy, we really appreciate them.  That procedure isn't something I'd want to sign up for again.  Although it wasn't that bad except that prep procedure.

Top; So how's RETIREMENT going for ya?  Tight lines for ya on your next trip.

Guys you all take care and thanks again for the prayers.  THEY'RE WORKING  ;)  Everyone be safe in your travels and as always be mindful of your surrounding.

It's been going ok. I work as a Manager of an Engineering Company as my day job, Monday-Friday and man, has work been insanely busy. But that's a good thing. My office is right next to Lake Ida, so I can throw a few casts after work whenever I want. (Yes, I keep a rod in my office. )

Beautiful spring day here at the beach.  Pollen season is underway thats for sure.  Today temps in the mid 70s with a lite breeze.  More is expected through the week with a chance of rain on the weekend.

Had the flu last week and was getting better but it decided to come back for another round.  Now the lungs are very congested and lots of coughing so you know the drill.  Now I have sore muscles but bit by bit it is getting better.  Had to put bowling on hold for a few more days until this icky stuff clears up.

Hope ya feel better soon. I don't get sick, but lately there's been something going around here in S FL as well.

My Army Unit called me today..again..and asked what are the odds of me coming back if they get me a Medical Waiver for Officer School. Of course. I said no. Sure i miss the guys (and girls) but I also like not having to answer to anyone or deal with BS policies made by "Armchair Quaterback" brass.

Supposed to be windy again this weekend, so if I want to fish, I'll have to hit the skinny water and get into a few of my hidden spots.

Here's to good health and tight lines.

Guys good evening,

Been real busy here these last few days.  THANK YOU ALL FOR THE PRAYERS for Dwayne and Gail.  Really appreciate it fellows.

Weather has been GREAT  this week.  Forecast for today is 64/91dgrs with 13%humidity with a S wind @ 11mphs.  We're looking bright and sunny for the next 10 days here across Central Texas  ;)

Its Spring time here and that means the Flower Beds need cleaning and all that stuff.  I was out yesterday with the choppers and rakes cleaning 1 of 9 flower beds we have in the front yard.  Mission accomplished after 3 hours and taking several breaks  ~sweat   I called the Tree Cutting Man to coordinate for removal of 5 trees that are dead.  He'll be here maybe this weekend to get them down.

After breakfast this morning I tackled 3 more flower beds; Got them de-weeded and trimmed one of the larger Live Oaks we have in the center of one of the flower beds.  I couldn't walk around the tree with  out getting smacked in the face with a low hanging limb.  Tomorrow I'll clean up the raked up piles of weeds and other items I raked up.  It got pretty warm this morning and I was getting tired.
Our Red Bud trees are in full bloom now.  I wish they would stay bloomed out longer than what they do.

I got a medical appointment tomorrow.  Once that's completed I going to knock out another flower bed.

Top; Tks for stopping by and sharing the time with us.  Tight lines to ya buddy on the upcoming trip.

Bud; Tks for sharing the time with us.  We got a little bit of pollen showing up now.  I can see it on the truck hoods. Glad to hear that your feeling somewhat better.  This weird azz weather sure has caused a lot of people to come down sick here in Central Texas.  Hope you're back up and at with the bowling soon.

To everyone I hope your day was a pleasant and productive one.  Hopefully yawl's evening a head will be a relaxing and pleasant one.  Be safe in your travels and remember to be aware of your surroundings.
Tight lines for those getting out on the water also.

Howdy  8)

We have had some serious wind here in Central Texas these past few days  :surrender:   Today's forecast is 61-84dgrs with 41%humidity with a S wind @ 27mphs  ~shade   The 10 day forecast is looking bright and sunny with temps ranging Mid 50's for the lows / Mid 80's for the highs  ;)

Update on Dwayne right quick; He's into his physical therapy now.  They've had him up walking the hallways with a walker; spending time sitting in a chair; looking at Flash Cards and descripting what the picture is.  His speech is not all together yet.  He can say some words but he's having trouble putting a sentence together.  Thanks again for all the prayers.  Gail and I truly appreciate them.

Couple weeks ago I had a prostate biopsy done and I got the result back yesterday.  The report came back positive so now I got something else to deal with now.  I have a PET SCAN appointment the last Friday this month.  They're going to check to see if the cancer has spread to other parts.  My treatment plan will be address here next week.  I'm having too much fun right now  ~shade

I spent the past couple days out working in the front yard.  I have all the flower beds now done.  The contractor is suppose to be here Thursday to cut down those 5 trees we identified last week.

I know now that my fishing days from the boat is done.  I tried bending over and kneeing down etc. while working in the yard and it's not working out.  I got the Stratos listed here on UB and another website.  Next week I'm going to pull the cover off and get her cleaned up and park it in the front yard with a For Sale sign on it.

To everyone I hope your day is / has gone well for ya.  Be safe in your travels if you have to be out and about.  Be mindful of your surroundings also. Hope ya'll evening a a peaceful and relaxing one.

Donald, I feel your pain dealing with multiple medical conditions.  This past couple weeks has been a test for me and the Mrs   Two weeks ago I was diagnosed with type A flu.  Went to the Doctor and he thought it was beginning to heal and decided not to prescribe any anti biotics but did prescribe a 5 day course of predisone.  The flu then decided to rear it ugly head again and went straight into my copd prone lungs where it became super congested with a thick goo that was trying to shut down my breathing,  Over the past weekend I realized I was in big trouble and went to the emergency room were multiple tests were performed and a treatment plan formulated.  I was then admitted for a couple of days until they could start to improve my situation.  Breathing still not where it needs to be and my heart rate is somewhat elevated to make up of the low oxygen levels.  I am now home with a whole course of multiple medications and some improvement if underway but still has a ways to go.

In the middle of all this the Mrs has been having a problem with the female part of her anotomy that after multiple tests and a short exploratory surgical deal has revealed that it is highly likely that she has cancer.  We get the total test results and diagnosis on this coming Tuesday afternoon and it does not look good.  Surgery and chemo are a likely result but will hold off on the possiblity until the full diagnostic is communicated.  We could use all the prayers you got to help us deal with this currently unknown set of problems.   Sorry to be a bearer of this kind of news but it is just part of the life cycle I guess.

Don, Dwayne's progress while slow, is progress. I know he'll make it. It's saddening that you're selling the Stratos, I know it wasn't an easy decision. Appreciate you keeping us informed and continue to lift up you, Dwayne, and Gail in prayers.

Bud, I'm so sorry to hear what's going on with you and she who shall be obeyed. I'm adding you both to my prayer list, it seems to get longer every day.

Was a decent day on Lake Osbourne. No big ones, but enough to have a fun day. And "Ozzy" was out following me around the bank all afternoon. He never bothers anyone for the record.

Greetings to all,

We have mostly Sunny Skies across Central Texas today.  There is the chance of a thunderstorm late tonight / early in the morning.  Our forecast for today is 58 / 86dgrs with 56%humidity with a SE wind @ 10mphs.

UPDATE on Dwayne;
Guys prayers are being answered and THANK YOU ALL FOR THOSE PRAYERS.  Dwayne has moved up to the next level of REHAB.  He's dressing himself and using the restroom on his own now.  He's getting to walk the hallways more now also.  His use of his hands has improved as well as his ability to walk.  He still has to use the walker for assistance.  His speech is still not at 100% but slowly improving.
If his brain swelling continues to decrease the 2nd surgery to reattach the Flap and his skull will happen mid April.

I'm staying busy working in the yard.  Yesterday I mowed and trimmed while waiting for the tree contractor to show up.  All (5) trees are now gone and WOW what a difference the yard looks.

Before In the picture by the White Rail Fence there's a huge limb that's across the flower bed.
When I mow my head hits those low hanging limbs.  I had the whole branch removed.  It was about 6inches in diameter and 12ft long.

After  With the trees now gone and that long limb cut off it will be easier for the wife to work in her flower beds.  I won't be getting smacked in the face with the low lying limbs while mowing and trimming anymore also  ;)

I had those (5) trees taken out due to Oak Wilt Disease.  They've been dead now for a couple years.  That large limb well I just got tired of being smacked in the head   ~shade

Bud; Tks for stopping by and I have you and your wife in my daily prayers.  I hope yawls health improves here soon.

Jim; Tks for stopping by my good man.  Thanks for all the prayers for Dwayne and my family.  It's time buddy for the Stratos to go.  It's hurts more seeing it just sitting there and not being able to use it.  I've had a couple calls and one visit already.  I put it out on Craig's List Friday night.  I still have it.  I'll be glad when it's gone.  I'm going to wind up selling the G3 also.  There's some minor things I have to do to it prior to selling it though.
I hope your family is doing well and you should be able to get out on the water here soon won't ya?

Top; Tks for stopping by also and sharing the day with us.  Tight lines buddy on your next outing.

Alrighty, to everyone hope your weekend has been a pleasant and relaxing one.  Be safe in your travels if your out and about.  Be mindful of your surroundings when your out also.

Good afternoon to everyone  8)

We've had a slow steady rain shower move across the area here for the past couple days.  We've needed the rain for sure.  Everything is now pretty and green and the weeds are growing  :'(

Forecast for today across Central Texas is 68/82dgrs with partly sunny skies; 76%humidity with a S Wind @ 11mphs.  It's going to be humidit and breezy today  ~shade

Dwayne UPDATE:  Guys can't say thank you enough for the prayers.  He's steadily improving in all areas.  His speech is still not right but there's improvement there also.  Still a ways to go though.

Been busy taking care of business down here in Texas while the wife is dealing with Dwayne up there in Alaska.  I'm staying busy doing some Spring Yard work etc.  I got the back yard on the "To Do List" this coming week.

I got the Stratos up for sale now.  It's on Craig's List in Texas and Central Louisiana.  I've had several calls and (1) visit but nothing serious.  When I get the chance I'll share a story with ya about (2) guys. One who knows 'Nothing about Bass Fishing and wants to buy a Bass Boat and one guy who is A Know It All' about Bass Boats.

My health update; The kidney issue is maintaining its present course of not getting worse etc.  I'm down to taking (9) different meds a day now vs (20) different meds when this first started.  This is a GOOD THING  ~shade   My Prostrate Biopsy came back Positive  ^-^   I went and had a P.E.T. Scan done yesterday afternoon.  They took a bunch of X-rays so there will be a future appointment to were we discuss a treatment plan.  It's just another issue for me to deal with  :(

I had a dental appointment yesterday morning.  I've been trying and failing to get this one tooth pulled.  It's finally pulled and a Temporary Bridge has been emplaced.  I got a couple more months of follow up's till the new Permanent Bridge is emplaced.

To everyone I hope your weekend ahead is a safe and pleasant one.  Tight lines to those hitting the water.  I have everyone in my daily prayers that are in need of them.

Good to hear Dwayne is continuing progress, prayer is powerful and I'm keeping you all in my my daily prayers.

Still cleaning up here from the nasty long Winter. Spent a good part of the morning servicing the transaxles on the zero turn mower yesterday morning. Then hauled off most of the tree I sawed up last week. By the time I get caught up around here, It'll be time to start mowing again.

Done, there's a couple good Stratos Facebook groups, your Stratos should sell quickly in them.

Everyone have a great Sunday!
