Lake Erie Islands Smallmouth Bass Fishing. Here's a little something to get you through the cabin fever.  Nice fall day of smallmouth fishing around the Lake Erie Islands.

Thanks for the video.  I have fished for smallmouth in the Sandusky area and some islands, but always in the summer months.  We once went from Putin Bay area, to an island close to Canada in a 26 foot boat for walleye.  Calm in the morning and a storm came up in the afternoon.  We ended up struggling to get back to the marina.  It got nasty quickly, but a great day fishing.

It can get dangerous out there.  You really have to pay attention to weather every minute you are out there.  Pele is probably the island you went to if it was in Canada.  If it was on the American side it was probably Kelly's island.  Great fishing there as well.  One of the underwater shipwreck videos I did was off the east side of Kelly's.

I know he had to go past Putin Bay to get back in.  Once we past The island the waves died down some, until then it was touch and go!  I was happy to back on land.  The captain was experienced.  So glad we were not in a bass boat!

The further out you go the bigger the risk factor.
