Mayan Cichlid Record

In doing research for an upcoming article, I found that the state record for a mayan cichlid is only 2.37 lbs. I think that can easily be broken. Look out state record, here I come!

I'm pretty sure that I've caught several over 3 lbs. before. Anybody else think that they can break the record?

That's a big Mayan! Must have been one heckuva of fight! I'm sure the state record has been broken many times, but anglers have never taken the time to register their catch.
