I had the good fortune of introducing the Everglades to my niece and nephew a couple of days ago. They have never been out on the boat, and jumped on the opportunity to go fishing. My brother came along to help me to divide and conquer.

Being that their kids, I spared them a very early outing.  lo  Instead, we had a later start and were on the water around 10:30. I gave the kids two options on where to go. Spot one, was loaded with fish, I know this because I have been fishing this area a lot recently. Spot two, is a little deeper into the glades, and the chance to see wildlife was greater. The kids chose spot number two.

We took a 15 minute run to spot two. The gators and birds were out in full force. Once we stopped and got settled, they started to fish. Let's just say it was non-stop action for the next three hours! They had me running all around the boat. All I know is once 1:30 rolled around, we were out of live bait, and everyone was tired! Including the Captain!!  lo  lo To say these kids had fun, was understatement. They napped on the ride back home.  lo

Thanks for reading!

Good job Capt! Always a pleasure taking kids fishing, yes, you do work your tail off but to me it's well worth the effort!

That's awesome Lou! The boat ride and nature tour was probably pretty cool, but non-stop catching fish action is sure have them begging for more. ~roflmao
