My front Solix has decided it will no longer work correctly. I have tried checking the settings to make sure the touch screen wasn't turned off, power cycled it a few times, nothing. I have not done a factory reset on it yet, because I wasn't sure what all I needed to back up or how to do it. I am running the latest software. Anyone mess with 'birds and knows a fix?

I have a feeling I'm about to have to send it in, and I hear it's a pricey fix. Thing is only about 3-4 yrs old.

Doing Restore Factory Defaults does not affect the waypoint library. The setting is in the Settings widget at the bottom.

You should export your waypoint library to a memory card (32GB or LESS). That is done in the Nav widget. Corrupt waypoints can affect the unit operation.

AFTER you Export the Waypoints and Tracks (two separate functions), do a Restore Nav Data Settings so that clears the unit's memory. Check to see if the touch screen works and if it does, reload the Waypoints and Tracks that you copied to the memory card. In the same menu as the Restore Factory Defaults. The unit won't reload defective data.

Thanks Wayne. It all of a sudden started working again Saturday without me doing anything.

There shouldn't be. It hasn't been damaged in any way.

the helix 10 i have on my bow is on a mount... it can 'at times' take on water if raining really hard and I'm running.

agreed:  it should not.

I haven't seen any signs of water ingress, at least not so far.
