Hey gang, just wanted to check in and give you guys an assessment of what's happening in the Glades. I have been out several times over the last several weeks. I was out there today, as a matter of fact. Launched before sunrise, and was off the water by 9am. Yes, it's that bad.  ~sweat  ~sweat  Between the heat, humidity, storms, and water discharges, the Glades is VERY tough to fish right now. We are approaching mid-September and the water levels are ridiculous. The only saving grace, I hope, is that our temps begin to come down next month. We have been dealing with these high heat indexes since May!!  :o Solutions. Wait things out, (Not an option for me  lo ) or transition shallow, and focus fishing the flats.

Thanks for reading!

Thank you Lou for the update. Saved me a trip out there. Looks like I may try Lox.

Thanks Lou  ~c~ , more rain out there today!  Weather patterns are the worst I can ever remember since late spring.  Crazy stuff!

Tough going. It always as amazes me how fickle the glades can get with high water. There's no other fishery out there like it.

It's a unique fishery, no doubt. But when it's swollen with water, it can be a ghost town.

Thanks Lou, hopefully things will get better if it ever cools down some.
Fish safe,
