Dobyns Maverick Spinning Reel & 702 Sierra Combo!

I'm changing a few things up when it comes to my Peacock bass fishing, and I decided to give the Dobyns Maverick 2000 spinning reel series a shot.



 I have been having great success with the Sierra series rods. I like them and my clients love them. So I decided to pair the Maverick with a Sierra 702.



 Should be a fun combo, I will keep you guys posted.

Broke in the combo with two nice catches today.

I really like the Maverick reel. It's pretty smooth both on retrieve and its drag system. I'm happy I went with the 2000 series.
The 702 Sierra is a pretty good rod. Whippy. It's great for casting small jerkbaits. Loads up nicely when a fish strikes.
